This is probably just to free up some cap space for Detroit.

Frank Williams is good I really didnt like when he was traded for crawford but he could be an asset to the pistons bringing more defense to the pg position

why? why? why? frank williams is great. if chicago trades him they will see how slow they are when he becomes an all-star. he has a ton of potential. trade him back to new york (if you dont want him [IMG])!

Cap space? They're getting a bigger contract in return for Smush Parker. If they wanted "cap space", they would just waive Smush. However, they do need a 3rd string PG, and Smush is more of 2 Guard than a PG. Plus, the bulls aren't gaining anything, accept solidifying a role for Pargo as the 3rd string PG with Frank gone.

Frank Williams has talent and the Pistons need a 3rd string point guard, mainly due to the fact Joe D wants to save Hunter for the playoffs. He is playing far too many minutes this early in the year. The back-up point guards spot in Detroit is terrible, Williams at least should be able to break down defenses and play good soild defense.
