Amare's numbers are outstanding this year and I would THINK that he would be on his way to play in All-Star weekend in Denver this year. One thing I liked about this week from Amare is his rebounds, 12 per game should be his goal this season. It's good to see Amare getting more boards which would probably be the one thing he would have to improve a little bit on. Suns are looking great as well, a win against the Magic last night, Amare only scores 21 but Q-Rich drops 6 from downtown in a 26 point effort.
The NbA is Amare's playtoy this year, he seems to over power the small forwards who try and guard him, and then when a larger defensive player comes to guard him, he beats him off the dribble. The Suns are looking like one of the teams to beat this year, along with the Sonics, Spurs, and T-Wolves. He has truly stepped up in his role as center. I thought that his stats would hardly increase since he was switching positions, and the added talent level of the Suns. I would not like to see what happens if the Suns land a good center so that he can play the PF again. He would destroy everyone IMO. I think Amare is a shoe-in for all-star this year.
