FLIP WINS HIS 400TH Congrats to Flip in winning his 400th as a coach. Anytime you acheive this type of milestone, you are doing a great job. Flip is one of the top coaches in the NBA. He did a good job getting a lot out of his team when he had nothing to work with during the days where the Wolves would be out in the first round and last year and so far this season, he has done a good job defining roles and handling egos on this team. The fact KG has developed a trust in Flip is a credit to Flip as a coach. I can't say enough about him as a coach. You can bet that he will get to 500th soon. Good job by the Wolves tonight as they beat a team that has dominated them in Portland. I was very happy with the way the Timberwolves played in all four quarters. I was happy to see everyone contributing for the Wolves. This game went back and fourth with both teams sharing baskets and having a little lead. It came down to the fourth quarter and as always, the Wolves rode to the occasion in the fourth quarter. KG was KG. He is always great every night and tonight was no different. Eddie Griffin was huge coming off the bench. I thought him stepping up in the fourth quarter was a big. If I have to nominate a player for the Sixth Man of the Year, it's Eddie with no contest. He has been so huge in the last four or five weeks. He has been quite an coup. Wally had a very good game. I thought his three really set things in motion for the Wolves in the fourth quarter. He was fantastic shooting from the outside. Sammy was his catalyistic self as he made a difference in the game. I like the number of points he scored and the number of assists he gave out. Like I said, good win and a good performance tonight.
This was a great win by the Wolves, I liked a lot of things that happened. First of all, hot shooting by Szczerbiak was key. He barely missed any shots, and in doing, congratulations on the 5,000 point milestone. As a result of that, Sprewell only played eight minutes. I don't need to praise Eddie Griffin anymore, because I already know what he can do. He is amazing, I still can't see why he is on the bench. As for Cassell, it is great to see him get involved passing wise. In the last five or six games, Garnett has been the leading passer. When you are the point guard of the team, you should nine out of ten times be the leading passer, not your power forward. So, it was nice to see him in it, official stat was thirteen assists. As for some Blazer highlights. Darius Miles had a couple highlight dunks, and Theo Ratliff had a huge block on Trenton Hassell. Great game for the Wolves!

Great game for the Wolves!
In most cases, I would definately agree with you about the PG, But you have to look at the way the Wolves run the pick & roll. Cassell comes off the pick dragging his man & KG's man with him, then Cassell kicks the ball back to the top of the key to KG. And then either Wally or Spree's man rotates over to try to pick up KG. And KG just looks over the top of the defense to find either Spree or Wally open. But it all starts with the attention Sam attracts coming off the pick. Bu KG gets the offical assist stat, so I think alot of times for Sam this year, you are going to have to look at how many times he makes the pass that leads to an assist inorder to find out how truely involved he was in creating plays for the Wolves. Not his offical assist #. Good win for the Wolves the best thing about the win was everybody played exactly the type of roll they should be playing every night. Nobody didnt trey to force anything, they just let it all come to them. Wally S gets in trouble when he puts the ball on the floor to much over dribbling to create plays. He didnt do that last night, he played his role letting Sam & KG create the opportunites for him. And then him simply making the shots, when the ball movement flowed his way. That style is much more fitting for him then him trying to be a creator off the dribble. I still feel in my gut that him or Spree are going to be trade before the febuary deadline, because they really cancel each other out. They never really play well on the same night. And when one is playing whether the other is on the bench. The Wolves might try to use one of the two as trade bait if a solid bigman becomes available. Anyway, good win last night. But with the Raptors on the schedule tonight, back to back against a subpar team after a solid win, seems like the Bulls situation from last week, hope they step up and come out with the proper energy. Dont let the Raptors get confidence that they can play on such a level with the Wolves.

Whenever Wally is sloppy, Spree would just come in and be great. I didn't like Spree's comment earlier, but would seem to want to move Wally more. The reason is because of the contract pay and length and the fact that he isn't adversed to being traded, preferrably to the Upper East Coast. Since he's from there and his family likes to be closer to home, I'm kinda soft-hearted about it and like the idea of players being where they want to be. Like a possible trade to Philly, Nets, or Knicks. I don't think we could come up with much in possible trades (NAZR MOHAMMED) that would interest each team though. Sorry, off the subject. Good Defense in the 4th and shots dropping made the difference in this one. The Blazers are the only team in our division that I would kinda keep in my rear-view mirror and watch for. Miles was great.
I just found this humorous. How about Gopher reject Joel Przbilla spending all that money for his friends and family to see him play only 8 minutes last night at Target Center? You would think he has other things to worry about than worry about paying for friends and family. He did not even played much. What is there to spend money for to see himself riding the pine? Great point about how Sammy should get involved in passing if his shots can't come through, Pure. If he can't make happen with his shooting, he should pass the rock as his strength. If I had my druthers about who should go, I hope it's Spree, Henacy. Latrell has really provided zero value to this team and I am getting tired of it. He is not playing well offensively and he has been okay defensively. Definitely not earning his paycheck. Wolves need to win back-to-back games especially against a bad team like the Raptors.
