According to The Morning Journal, if the Cavaliers offer rookies Luke Jackson and Anderson Varejao to Milwaukee, the Bucks might deal shooting guard Michael Redd, one of the most coveted free-agents this coming offseason.

Jackson and Varejao are just two of the many players that become eligable to be traded after transactions which occured during the offseason.

In accordance to Article VII, Section 8d of the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement, 'no player who signs a contract as a free agent or draft rookie may be traded before the later of three months following the date on which such contract was signed or December 15th of the salary cap year in which such contract was signed.'

Over 130 players, in addition to Jackson and Varejao, signed in the offseason became trade eligable Wednesday.

GOD I HOPE NOT!! i will hate the bucks if he gets traded.

The only way I'd ever pull the trigger on a trade like this would be for two reasons:

    1. If you have no chance. Which, it seems that way now, with the Bucks playing dismal basketball. However, it is the East, and in the East, you aren't totally out of it ever.

    2. If you know Redd isn't going to resign. And I'm not sure if he will, but, you never know. I'd wait til the offseason anyways, and if he doesn't want to resign, get him in a sign and trade and get someone that will be worthwhile.

So, nonetheless, if the Bucks management were to pull the trigger on a trade like that, I'd wish for them to be fired if I were a Bucks fan. That kind of trade would be just plain dumb.

I think that the emergence of Dmase as more than just an elite dunker has Bucks management questioning who to build their team around. Silly really, as the TWO of them would be great together.

Why would you trade Redd to the team that is already 1st in your division? Especially since outside shooting is one of the main things that the Cavs lack. You would basically be putting youself out of contention for the next few years.

This would be a major hurt piece for Bucks fans. Redd is loved big time in that city w/o a doubt.

Maybe LeBron will get his shot at a ring quicker than I had imagined.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Cavs are surronding him with good role players already. If this trade goes down I don't think the Bucks would even make the playoffs. I don't think this would go through, Redd is to important to the Bucks franchise.

The Bucks won't make the play-offs as it is. Not without TJ.

This won't happen. Not after the Ray Allen catastrophy.

If they trade Redd for Luke Jackson and Anderson Varejao, I will personally go turn in my season tickets.

We have a Varejao, his name is Zaza. Where does Jackson fit? Dez and KVH are better than him.

Another comical proposal from one Chad Ford. Honestly where does he get this usless crap?

thats a bunch of bullshit! Bucks actually have a GREAT player and lose him right away? That would be stupid if they traded for those 2, theyre worthless compared to Redd. And I know Bucks could get someone with BIGGER talent. Im hoping they wont trade him.

I'd expect it to be more than that, I think Wagner and/or Diop could also be involved in some of this, Redd is an All-Star, you don't trade him for Varejao and Luke Jackson,
