As one of the Suns newest additions, Hunter actively participated in making this holiday season brighter for the children of Phoenix. For his selfless efforts, he is the recipient of the NBA Community Assist Award for the month of November.
During the month of November, he participated in the dedication ceremony for the Suns? new Reading & Learning Center at the Assistance League of Phoenix, and attended the Salvation Army?s Turkey Bowling Event to donate turkeys. He also delivered a personal check to the Salvation Army to help pay for the Thanksgiving meal which he hosted for over 1,500 homeless and low-income people in downtown Phoenix on Thanksgiving Day.

?I knew if I ever got in the position I am in today that I would do my best to give back to those who are less fortunate than myself,? said Hunter. ?I have memories of the Salvation Army giving me my first Christmas gift, an electric toy race car, and to this day it still inspires me to do all that I can to help, not just during the holidays, but the entire year.? </div>
