Anthony's jumper with 3.6 seconds remaining proved to be the difference as the Denver Nuggets ended a two-game skid by edging the Boston Celtics, 100-99.

After Paul Pierce hit two free throws to give the Celtics a 99-98 lead with 10.7 seconds left, Anthony, who had missed all four of his previous fourth-quarter shots, came off a screen by Kenyon Martin, dribbled to the top of the key and nailed the jumper over 7-footer Mark Blount.</div>

The Nuggets almost blew another lead, this time a 5 pt lead, 98-93 with 2 minutes remaining... but Melo came up with a big one with 3 secs left... this proved that Melo has moved on from his off-court issues and hopefully he'll keep it up. Any thoughts?

I havent seen the shot yet, but I'm sure oit was a nice one. Melo is in the groove as of late, its mainly because the Nuggets are forming chemistry. It's looking good for the Nuggets. they are playing as a team and meshin, they do lack some scoring in the back court though, so that makes the other non guards work harder.

Yeah, Melo's shooting percentage definitely has got sth to do with the outcome of the game. For the month of December, excluding this Boston game, in each of the four Ws (vs. Miami, vs. Orlando, @Washington, and @Toronto) he shot 50 percent or better, and shot 54.9% (39 for 71). In each of the three Ls (vs. Cleveland, @New York, @Philly) he shot only 34.4% (21 for 61). He has to avoid those one-on-one stuff and let the ball work around the team and just follow the flow of the game. As for the Nuggets meshing, they still have a lot of work to do. At times, such as the Sixer game, they were playing so well together for the first 3 1/2 quarters but they fell apart when the Sixers started a rally. [IMG] Teamwork can still get better.

Melo clutch again. He was clutch at the end of last year too.

Great clutch shot by Carmelo. I would have been happier if somebody on the Celtics actually contested the shot though. Look at Mark Blount, he isn't even looking in Melo's direction in that picture.

[IMG] ya it was a nice effort by melo after he misses the first one. I'm a bit dissapointed in them i think their play has been a bit inconsistant latetly but ill take the win. As a side note, it seems the nuggets play better in thier yellow headbands/armbands than in their blue
