AHHH ... Peeler comes back to haunt us again with a clutch 3. Stranger things have happened, but the Wizards just put a dagger in the Lakers with that shot. A two possession game with 11 seconds is tough, and the Wizards shoot their free throws good.

This is great my two fav teams going at it (this post will have both Wizards and Laker POV's because I will be posting this in the Wizards game thread also): Wow...Arenas...what a game infront of his hometown crowd. He game in and dominated the Lakers, getting in the paint at will. He is going to be a superstar in this league..he is so quick, so good, and so young. Kobe..wow...what a game, just amazing...I dare the haters to say he doesnt get his team involved and isnt a team leader...he complained a little too much though to the refs in overtime. He wanted fouls called, but there were no fouls. He played a great game and hit a big shot in OT, unfortunately the Lakers just fell on the wrong side of the line. He had an amazing game, his 4th triple double of the year and 13th of the season. Kwame Brown looked ok tonight, but he is only about 60%..so its understandable. He should of got the ball a lot in the 2nd half when Brian Cook was the only big man the Lakers had in. I believe Kwame would of dominated him, no? Michael Ruffin? Why was he in the game during the 4th for the Wizards..He was good in the preseason, but has done nothing this year. He, along with Jarvis Hayes, held the Wizards back in the 4th IMO. Both have struggled horribly on offense and Hayes is arguably our worse defender. Larry Hughes had arguably his best game of the season. He was having his way with the Lakers in the first half and just palyed a great game. Had a big shot to open up overtime and the Wizards just fed off of that. Lamar Odom really fell off during the second half. He opened the game strong against the pitiful D of Jamison, and well...the Lakers went away from him and...he disappeared. Chucky Atkins hit some big 3's and easily had his best game as a Laker on the offensive end, but on the D side of things, he got eaten up alive by Gilbert Arenas. Brian Cook also dissapeared for the Lakers, he started 3-3 from the 3 pt line, but then went away and that really hurt the Lakers. Anthony Peeler- He was licking his chops on that last shot, he was just waiting for Hughes to get him the ball and he made good with it. What a shot and a nice addition by the Wiz. And one final note. The Wizards played great D in overtime forcing the Lakers to take some bad shots and forcing Kobe to shoot an airball with the shot clock running out. Oh yea, the real final note...the Wizards should go to Gilbert Arenas in crunch time, not Antawn Jamison. He has not been what we thought he would be for us, he is shooting perimeter shots..not posting like we wanted him to. In crunch time, he rushes his shots, he throws away the ball, and just makes stupid decisions...that is why he will never be a superstar and be able to lead a team all by himself in this leauge. Final Score (first win for the Wiz/Bullets in L.A. in 12 years) Wizards- 120 Lakers- 116
Atkins is on the block. I'd rather have Shawn Bradley running the point...at least he has better defense.
Points In The Paint and Turnover's killed the Laker's. It was a good game that I hoped you guys watched.
Wow, definately going to have to get this and the Suns game torrent's, but good game all around, turnovers and defense killed you guys, but the Wizards have so much offense it's hard to defend them, and I won't say the teams known for it's defense either lol. Hughes hit shots? WOW Arenas had a good game, and Kobe notched a triple double...
Doesn't matter what Kobe did...he knows it, we all know it. Kobe's performance is shot down, even if he throws 30 assists, if the Lakers lose. I think it's time to make some trades. Tierre Brown did great defensively against Arenas...held him to hardly anything in the 2nd quarter. Atkins is just plain sorry...he let Arenas penetrate throughout the entire game, and it was Atkins who let Peeler hit a wide open jumper. Chuck, how do you lose your man when he's not moving?

lol you guys love trades, their's always a trade proposal after every game, and I thought us Raptor fans were bad. Anyways, Kobe8, what's with EJ's love affiar with Michael Ruffin lol, he always wants to play the guy, he's an offensive liability, he's like Michael Curry but worse offensively. Also Arenas has always been clutch, he hit a lot of big shots last season, remember the game against the Raptors where he didn't shoot till the end, but then won the game with 2 clutch shots. He's really not that bad a PG, I mean he doesn't really get most of the playmaking duties anyways. One the team he's played as more of a bring the ball up the court and let the more important and better players create. He had a good game offensively though I mean 23 points on +.500% shooting total and from 3 is never a bad thing...
Ouch... so close. I wish I could have watched the game. Looking at the statistics, Kobe dominated. The real surpriser though was Hughes. (Kobe plays this well all the time.) Now i'm really wishing that Kobe was good enough for Jordan. Keep comparing them why don't you. Kobe isn't even in his prime. (Sorry, I guess all these articles comparing Kobe to Jordan are just really bugging me lately.) As far as Chucky Atkins goes... I agree that his defense could be better, but he isn't as bad as some of you guys say he is. He did really good on offense, making points on all... I doubt Bobbit could get 23 points on 9-17 and 5-10 3 pointers. That's actually pretty damn good. Oh... also, did you guys notice that Kobe had as many rebounds as Lamar Odom and more than the two highest of the Wizards? Oh and his assist was also more than his whole team put together. Gosh Kobe, you fpwnedballhog. Use your teammates why dontcha? Be a teamleader, dammit. You loser with 36 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assist. Not to mention that you were like 3rd or 2nd or something in the league in scoring tonight AND first in assist. Wow, maybe i'm not the one that needs a reality check.

Haha, poor Chucky, at least he isn't as bad a defender as Jalen Rose and doesn't insist on shooting the ball. Before anyone who likes any team complains about their horrible players, go and watch the highlights for tonights Raptors game and see Jalen Rose's beautiful clutch performance. 8 seconds left, pump fake 6 times from the top of the arc and throw up a wild fadeaway that hits the backboard while Rafer is open on the wing watching you, GREAT! Now that is playing bad!
Wow another sharp and painful ==|========> straight to the heart. Bad statistics on being 0-9 when scoring over 100. But looking at the bright side of things, not being overshadowed by arenas and hughes is kobe bryant. Great game by him ..he had a triple double and he almost single-handedly brought the lakers back to the game. Even though I only watched the last few minutes of OT I was entertained (based on the skills not the result). ^And atkins made 5 threes, what more do u ask from him?^ You guys want kobe to score more and atkins -23 points?? It's absurd how much blame you guys point to chucky when he has one mistake at one possession, you blame the whole game on him? well in that case...ok let's not get into that.. I would take chucky in a snap for laker hero ty lue and charlie ward) But great thing you guys aren't the lakers coaching staff (for the laker's sake)...or else you might want to trade away chucky since he's an easy scape goat to blame...
