<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">So Bryant is looking for a second chance now, an opportunity not only to resurrect an image but to create a new one in which he has more friends than enemies. Whether he's able to achieve that remains to be seen. For those who doubt it, you'll get no argument from me. The question, however, is whether he deserves the chance to change and grow. And who among us is qualified to say he doesn't?</div> <div align="center">http://www.duluthsuperior.com/mld/duluthsu...ll/10434969.htm</div> You've got my vote Kobe.

I don't know if anybody would want to be around this guy after this.... http://www.pe.com/sports/basketball/lakers...e_15.57cb3.html</div> Whats the article about? Can you just give me a little brief discription since it requires registration. As far as possibly giving Kobe a second chance. I do not really see why he even needs a second chance. Lets face it we do not know any of these people we can not judge them as people we can only judge them as players, and as a player I respect him. He tries to be a leader, and be that guy to motivate his teammates, but he himself although a vetern in NBA years we forget he is really young. He does not know really how to lead a team yet. He has been in the NBA seven seasons, but is only 25 I believe. Bryant has made many mistakes so far, but most of those mistakes where off the court we do not know what went down we jsut know what the media reports to us. Eeven they do not know what went down really sometimes they use words out of context when they quote players, and some times they get there own info from second hand sources. I think that Steven A Smith thinks to much of himself, and his opinion. He honestly although I may be wrong comes off a bit arrogent in this article. With a few of his comments. Like when he says And who among us is qualified to say he doesn't? . He seems to me like he is calling out to the american public when he is guilty of commiting the same crime.
Some pieces of it: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Lloyd Sapiga, a personal trainer and bodyguard for Malone for 10 years, spoke out in a phone interview Tuesday because he said Bryant has tried to "tear down Karl's reputation."</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Karl did not make a pass at her," Sapiga said. "He would not be stupid to do something like that. ... He's a better man than that. Karl is the best power forward to ever play the game, but he's 100 times better as a person than as a player.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Vanessa is the one who greeted Karl with a hug," Sapiga said. "She was so excited when she saw him. She looked like a little kid in a candy store. There were people from the Lakers organization that saw her reaction. She was excited. She was elated.</div> There's more if you register... it's easy and free to do so.. http://www.pe.com/sports/basketball...e_15.57cb3.html <font color="Red"><font size="1">Post only 2-3 paragraphs of an article, no more, and link to the rest. -Brandon</font></font>
People judge Kobe on what they hear and see. The read articles by the media. Hey Kobe, I give you a second chance bro. Many men have commited adultery, many men have gone thru all the ish you have, and yet turn out to be good people in the end of it all. You celebrity status compounds things, but should not be the reason people cant forgive you and give you a second chance.... Do ya thang, show the haters up, and when it comes down to it, the only person you have to prove anything to is yourself.......
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting SupraJames:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm all up for 2nd chances too, but... a 2nd chance for.. what?</div> I'm wondering the same. Fans of Kobe and/or the Lakers were already willing to overlook anything wrong he did on or off the court. Again, he needs to make his peace with Shaq and Malone in private. I watched the entire 30 minute interview on ESPN the other night, and Kobe came off as ass to me during the questioning. Saying the media over exaggerated his comments about Shaq's private life, I was thinking, how so, you either said those remarks or you didn't, there's really not much to over exaggerate. He needs to take the Barry Bonds approach and just shun the media, he obvioulsly does not have the tact to handle himself and he's too, much of a target for the media to interpret his words out of context. As a player Kobe is phenomenal and I think he gets overly criticized whether the Lakers win or lose a game. Outside of the court, Kobe has lost a lot of my respect from his actions and the way he's been handling it, just indicates to me he could really careless about what people think of him. Which is good and bad in some respects.
