5 people are averaging double figures in scoring -including Pietrus (10.0ppg) who plays 17.8mpg Murph, despite a slow start, is averaging a double-double Claxton's A/TO is 3.08 and Fisher's is 2.79 -the next highest is Cheaney (who seems like a horrible passer at times) with 2.00 -Dunleavy's is 1.31 They are shooting 31.7% on 3 pointers, but still shoot 15.5 a game -Murphy is the best at 43.5% and shoots 1.1 a game -Richardson is fourth-worst at 31.6% and shoots 4.5 a game -Dunleavy is third-worst at 30.4% and shoots 2.5 a game They are shooting 70.5% on freethrows, and only shoot 25 a game -Fisher and Cheaney are the only ones shooting above 80% -Richardson attempts 3.4 a game, and Pietrus in less than half the minutes attempts 4.2, but they both are shooting 64% They are shooting 41.6% from the floor -Fisher, Cheaney, Najera, and Davis are all shooting below 40%. In their careers, Cheaney, Najera, and Davis have all been hailed for their accurate field goal shooting. -The starting PG, Claxton, is leading the team with 44.9%, and shoots 8.8 shots per game -Richardson, 42.1%, shoots 18.8 shots per game Say what you will about those statistics. It may seem like I am coming down rather hard on JR, but I was not intending to. The stats made a convincing argument.
I don't know how that stat is bad for Richardson. Nobody expects Richardson to put superstar numbers to begin with. Also, considering that he was shooting lower than 35% fg for first 10 games, he has improved his shooting % considerably. It's disappointing that he doesn't seem to improve from last year though. Bottom line is that if Richardson is cold, we are capable of losing to Hornets...
