Baker has been a DNP in 13 of the last 17 games, losing all his backup minutes to Jerome Williams.

Goodwin spoke recently to Isiah to ask why Baker wasn't playing. Suddenly Baker popped into the rotation in Washington Friday, playing eight strong minutes, making all three baskets. He hasn't been heard from since, puzzling Goodwin.</div>

Aaron Goodwin, Vin Baker's agent, is very angry over Baker not getting any playing time. I have to admit I do sometimes wonder why Baker has disappeared from the rotation. I do feel sorry for him though. He probably wouldn't have signed with us had he known he wasn't going to get any minutes. He was very instrumental for us last season though. I remember what he did against Portland last season at home. That was on my top favprite games of the whole season. In fact I ranked it #4 behind NYK@MIL, NYK vs. IND, NYK vs. Sac. I made a prediction (my first post ever!) that he would beat out Nazr for the starting job. Obviously the way Mohammed has beeen playing Baker wouldn't start but, he is literally rotting on the bench. Do we even need him? JYD, Sweetney, Thomas, and Mohammed all have been doing pretty well so far. Goodwin also might want a trade for his client. Maybe Isiah has something in his sleeves. Hmm...I wonder what we can get for him. I doubt much maybe a second rounder. Teams have backed off of him because of his drinking

This was going to happen sooner or later. Vin Baker does have a legitimate beef so to say. He doesnt get a chance to show us what he can do and when he did get off the bench in that Wizards game he did well. Then he was gone from the rotation. So I can see where he's coming from. However his problem isnt with Isiah(not this time) his problem is with Nazr and JYD. Their both playing very well so he will have a hard time getting off the bench. Kurt Thomas and Sweetney are holding down the powerforward spot. Actually JYD spends alot of time at both positions and is taking away minutes from Sweetney. Anyone else notice Sweetney is getting used less and less? Fact of the matter is everyone wants minutes. Houston wants his minutes back, Crawford is worried about Houston taking his minutes, TT is getting less and less action. Sweetney is getting less minutes and doesnt know why. Ariza is starting to grow cobwebs and he's probably our best perimeter defender. Wait until Penny comes back, that's when the real fun will begin. We have a deep team, virtually everyone on it is serviceable. I thought maybe we should use Brown's rotation method to deal with this minutes issues or a modified version of it. But Baker should get more time on the floor. Cut back on JYD's minutes to see what Vin can do. Put him on the floor along with Houston. Their style's of play seem compatible. If Baker does a good job he can be a back up at center. If he doesnt he wont be able to complain.
