www.hoopshype.com Raps intend to trade Jalen, Donyell and Alonzo Mourning <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to league sources, the Raptors and Miami Heat are still in a trade discution that would involve Toront's Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall and Alonzo Mourning for the Miami's Eddi Jones, Malik Allen and Udonis Haslem. </div> I would make it: Pg-Rafer Alston Sg-Eddi Jones Sf-Eric Williams pf-Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem C-Aaron Williams
I would do that in a heartbeat. We lose leadership, but we get a blossoming dude in Haslem. Now the Heat have a greater chance of winning the championship. PG - Jalen Rose SG - Dwyane Wade SF - Donyell Marshall PF - Alonzo Mourning C - Shaquille O'Neal Automatically the best frontcourt and arguably the best backcourt. Amazing.

Amazing.</div> That's not how it would look...It would be: PG: Damon Jones SG: Dwyane Wade SF: Jalen Rose PF: Donyell Marshall C: Shaquille O'Neal --- I rather have Rose than Jones, because sadly Rose is our best post player, and the last thing we need is another shooter, who's washed up on top of that. Oh well...at least we get Haslem. All of this of course, is if the trade goes down.
When you couple both trades together I guess it makes a lot more sense. The best thing about them is that our weakest point(frontcourt) has suddenly become one of our stronger assets.
so basically if this trade goes down its: Carter Rose Marshall for: E.Willaims Haslam Jones A.Willaims Allen 2 1st rounders if thats the case then we get a great deal
I don't know if I would do it. Haslem, the prize in that trade is a FA at the end of the year, and who know's if he would want to resign in T-Dot?
Why is it a surprise, if we don't deal him in 24 hours we'll have to wait 2 months before we can trade him again.
This is a great deal if we get Haslem, he's one of my favorite players and I read this article tid-bit this morning but I didnt post it because I didnt know Haslem was included. Great deal for us, but I think that Haslem deserves to be starting but not over Bosh. We'll have too many big men if this deal goes down. Our big men would be : Bosh, Haslem, Bonner, Allen, Araujo, Sow, Williams and Woods. Thats a little much if you ask me, I just hope we dont end up waiving Pape Sow.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Originally posted by DerfZ allen probably wont be involved</div> Thats a relief, no disrespect to Malik Allen but we already have so many young players like Woods whos fairly young, Bosh the cornerstone of our franchise and were getting Haslem, while we have Pape Sow and Araujo working there way into getting minutes.
Don't worry about Araujo and Sow, they're in the injured list so unless something radical happens, such as Araujo becoming the next Shaq and Sow becoming the next Ben Wallace, don't expect them to budge in to the 12-man rotation. If this deal goes down we will have: C: Aaron Williams PF: Chris Bosh SF: Lamond Murray or Morris Peterson SG: Morris Peterson or Eddie Jones PG: Rafer Alston 6th Man: Lamond Murray or Eddie Jones 7: Matt Bonner 8: Eric Williams 9: Milt Palacio 10: Udonis Haslem 11: Loren Woods 12: Malik Allen (?) 13: Alvin Williams 14: Rafael Araujo 15: Pape Sow BTW, Chungster you must be on crack or something to suggest that Jalen Rose run the point. In case you haven't watched the Raptors games lately, I think it was versus Miami, Mitchell tried to run Rose at the point due to Milt's absence and he didn't know what the hell he was doing.
Can someone please answer me this? WTF are the Raptors front office trying to do? Be a lottery team for the next 6 years?
lol more like 3 but once all of our players develope watch out... these are our young players: C-Woods/Rafeal Araujo PF-Chris Bosh/Udanous Haslem*/Matt Bonner/Pape Sow SF-MoPete/draft pick SG-draft pick PG-Rafer Alston/draft pick i'd say we might have a pretty decent team
Don't write the Raptors off just yet. We did reinforce the shallow frontcourt that couldn't rebound for their lives. This is what I hate about impatient people. The Raps haven't even played a game with their new lineup and you guys are already writing them off.

He's going to score, but he can't carry the load. Just look at last night, 34+ seconds to go, he can make a basket to give the Raps the lead, but he coughs up the ball. You guys can't expect Bosh to carry our scoring, this season at least.
