I know og15 might merge this into the trade thread, but just wanted to let you guys know how Miami-Toronto-Philadelphia deal could work.

Philadelphia trades:
SF Glenn Robinson (No games yet played in 2004/05)
PF Kenny Thomas (9.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.3 apg in 27.0 minutes)
C Samuel Dalembert (5.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 21.3 minutes)
Philadelphia receives:
SG Jalen Rose (14.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 31.2 minutes)
PF Malik Allen (7.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.8 apg in 20.2 minutes)
PF Udonis Haslem (11.2 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.6 apg in 31.5 minutes)

Toronto trades:
SG Jalen Rose (14.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.1 apg in 31.2 minutes)
PF Donyell Marshall (10.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.0 apg in 24.1 minutes)
C Alonzo Mourning (10.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 0.8 apg in 25.4 minutes)

C Alonzo Mourning (10.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 0.8 apg in 25.4 minutes)

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Philadelphia, Toronto, and Miami being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Philadelphia, Toronto, and Miami had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

(I used Lamond Murray's contract instead of Alonzo's contract because realgm.com didn't update the Raptors rosters yet)

This way, Toronto gets a veteran scorer in Glenn Robinson, a proven shotblocker, a rebounder and an inside presence in Samuel Dalembert, and a good defender and a shooter in Eddie Jones (he's fading but who knows..).

Lineup:

C: Samuel Dalembert
PF: Chris Bosh
SF: Glenn Robinson
SG: Eddie Jones or Morris Peterson
PG: Rafer Alston

6: Eddie Jones or Morris Peterson
7: Lamond Murray
8: Matt Bonner
9: Milt Palacio
10: Eric Williams
11: Loren Woods
12: Aaron Williams

13: Rafael Araujo
14: Pape Sow
15: Alvin Williams

Philadelphia gets rid of the disgruntled players in Robinson, Dalembert and Thomas who are dissatisfied with coach Jim O'Brien and gets a scorer in Jalen Rose, and two starter/backup PFs in Malik Allen and Udonis Haslem.

Lineup:

C: Marc Jackson
PF: Udonis Haslem
SF: Andre Iguodala
SG: Jalen Rose
PG: Allen Iverson

6: Kyle Corver
7: Willie Green
8: Corliss Williamson
9: Aaron McKie
10: Malik Allen
11: Brian Skinner
12: John Salmons

13: Kedrick Brown
14: Josh Davis
15: Kevin Ollie

Miami gets rid of Eddie Jones along with Allen and Haslem for Alonzo Mourning (as backup centre or starting PF), Kenny Thomas (backup PF) and Donyell Marshall (starting PF or SF).

Lineup:

C: Shaquille O'Neal
PF: Alonzo Mourning or Kenny Thomas
SF: Donyell Marshall
SG: Dwayne Wade
PG: Damon Jones

6: Alonzo Mourning or Kenny Thomas
7: Christian Laettner
8: Wesley Person
9: Rasual Butler
10: Michael Doleac
11: Shandon Anderson
12: Keyon Dooling

13: Jerome Beasley
14: Dorell Wright
15: Wang Zhi-Zhi

thats a kick ass idea! get Zo to where he wants to go! playoffs, of course. plus we get dalembert! i luv the guy. this trade is very true and quite possible. But the only troubling thing for me would be philadelphia. they seem to be the ones to lose in this trade. Plus they get the whole Jalen AI dilemma, who takes how many shots and what not. But that would make miami one the best teams eva. and TO would be doin ok. nice stuff!

What makes you guys think the Sixers would want Jalen Rose, we are rebuilding are team with young players, not old players with huge contracts.

Not to mention Kenny Thomas is a better player when he is playing the right way, then Udonis Haslem.

Also the Sixers will likely keep Robinson because nobody is going to want him, he is rumored not to play at all this season with ankle injuries. This also gives the Sixers cap room at the end of the season, yet another reason why this trade will not happen with the Sixers.

I think AI and JR would be able to co-exist. Philadelphia doesn't have a lot of scorers like Toronto does and the two will be able to split the stat sheet nicely. Jim O'Brien's good at managing superstars' egos so they should be fine.

Miami already has enough scorers in Dwayne Wade and Shaquille O'Neal. That's half their offence (combined they average 44.1 ppg) and adding Alonzo Mourning (he wants to be there) and Donyell Marshall (sure to average 15-10 if given a starter's minutes), I'd think they'll have enough scorers.

Kenny Thomas is a better player, but he doesn't want to be there because he fell out of Jim O'Brien's favour.

Regarding Glenn Robinson, he's not injured. He says he's ready to play but O'Brien's just not playing him. I don't know what the Sixers brass would say, but we will see what happens.

Change in team outlook: +18.6 ppg, +2.6 rpg, and +2.5 apg.

KT isn't working hard, but as of late he has came on and I think he might be able to turn things around with coach Obrien. The same thing goes to Samuel Dalembert and Willie Green.

Even if Glenn Robinson is injured or not, nobody is willing to give the Sixers anything they want for him, thats why he is likely to stay with the team with his expiring contract.

Meh.. It's just an idea that seemed reasonable but I'm not the GM of any of the clubs involved so don't take it too seriously. I just thought Sixers might want to change some looks with a trade because it's not like they're doing better with or without the players mentioned above.

Sixers aren't getting what they want for Robinson because they aren't playing him at all. GMs and Scouts need to see the guy play in order to assess what they could offer for him and if he's not playing, you'll only get garbage offers.

That's what I was thinking, Iverson isn't a passer, let's get that straight, he's leading the league in shot attempts while playing PG, that's not a good thing.

Jalen Rose likes to shoot, Iverson + Jalen Rose might coexist, but they have the contract. Expiring Glenn Robinson >>>>>> Jalen Rose in terms of trade value. Philly get's cap relief from Glenn but will have Jalen for another three years= bad.

wow...this trade can be the worst proposal i have seen, we dish out 1 huge contract in rose to get back 2 bad contract in jones and robinson??? the trade is only acceptable bcoz dalembert but either way we r giving up marshall our best player off the bench, rose, probably he is our only go to guy, and zo. this could be worst then the carter trade.....

Remember that Robinson's contract runs out after this season.
