The former Seton Haller was asking for a massive contract (in the $70 million range) in August, only to find himself on the bench in October and out of the rotation in November. The Sixers have more than their share of huge contracts and may not have the appetite to add another."

    Question? Who could we possibly get? Jefferson maybe?

    God I would hate to see Sammy go. But if we were able to get Jefferson in this deal, I`d do it. But I don`t think King wants to trade away a great defensive player in Dalembert.

    I'm confident we are going to re-sign, because it seems as if the problems he had with Coach Obrien are over with. Sam is playing good with us, and I think we can give him a solid contract after the season is over.

    If we get Jefferson, wouldn't we have way too many players at that spot. I mean, we would obviously have the best backcourt. But I don't think we should do this trade

    I would but i wouldn't. I would because we will have another scorer and that can help allen out alot. I wouldn't because sammy gives us defense and he is a good shot blocker. But if the trade goes down i wouldn't be mad but RJ you better help AI out.

    What are you guys talking about? I'm sure the Nets are intrested in signing Sam as a free agent not trading for him. Besides RJ is a lot more valuble then Sammy right now.

    agreed.

    Rj is way more valuable to the nets. because when j kidd and vince have played there time out in new jersey, or by that time the orginization might be called the bronx nets; Jefferson will still be there bread and butter, unless he gets traded or has a career ending injury.

    Here is another note on Dalembert to the Nets, I dont think Philly will trade him he is very valuble to us right now, if we traded him... unless we got a hell of a bigman back I wouldnt consider it at all.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Nets are already exploring possible trades for size. Armed with two trade exceptions that will help any team looking to slice salary cap, the Nets are eyeing Philadelphia's Samuel Dalembert. Toronto's Donyell Marshall could be available as well.
    </div>

    EDIT: another read form www.benmaller.com

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Nets still continue to search for some more big bodies via trade or free agency. They are dangling two valuable trade exceptions for teams looking to reduce cap space and many of their players outside of Richard Jefferson, Jason Kidd and Carter. Trading for Philadelphia's Samuel Dalembert is a long shot but Brian Skinner could be available. Toronto's Donyell Marshall is another trade possibility. Karl Malone, a free agent, is unlikely to join the Nets.</div>
