Interesting, I wonder If Zo does indeed sign for Miami will he play for the Heat on christmas day against the Lakers? Although I have heard rumours that the Heat are worried about his past heathly problems and how he will steal minutes away from current Heat bench players who are playing well.
From what I've read he's not really healthy and ready to contribute. I believe he was on the IRL with the Nets, right? He even told the press that his body is "breaking down" but I'm sure that's from NJ playing him like a starter. I'm guessing they're gonna do like they did with Laettner and just wait for him to get healthy again. Right now, like you mentioned, the bench is doing a pretty decent job, so we really don't need him to contribute right away. Let him get healthy and in condition again, his time to contribute will be in the playoffs. As for waiving players: I think we could drop Wang ZhiZhi or maybe get something for Malik Allen? I wouldn't want to get rid of Doleac because he's more reliable then Zo would be as Shaq's backup. Same with Laettner. I wouldn't be suprised if Person is traded but at the same time the Heat need a backup SG / SF just incase something happens. If anyone is waived my money's on Wang ZhiZhi. <font color="RED">UPDATE:</font> "The Fan" sports radio in Toronto will speak with Raptors GM Rob Babcock and talk about the possibility of Zo being bought out.
Well Rob Babcock is pretty dumb, so what is it split into, 3 million a year for the next three years, well....that was a waste, no attempt to trade him even. I would've just kept him on the team till he pestered me to death.

He was only used in the deal to match the salaries and was not trade bait at all. Either way Zo is gonna look for a buyout for whatever team he goes to unless it's the Heat (and they don't want to take on his current contract)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">Zo's been bought out for 9 Million. Maybe Zo could be in uniform this Saturday against LA.</div> Woah, first off, source? Second, he's injured and hasn't played for quite some games, if he does join the Heat it will be like Laettner who only first got playing time after Malik Allen got injured because he had to give his body time to heal and get in condition. Same with Zo. Besides, the heat's frontcourt depth is doing fine as it is, so he has a chance to sit back and take his time to heal.

Man... not sure what Mourning will do with our squad... it'd be sweet as him for a locker room presence and maybe to come off the bench for 10 minutes and create a tempo or defensive intensity while we're down. I think it'd be a nice addition, but I dont' wanna see othe rplayers minutes get cut down who deserve it like Laettner.
