Update on Shaq's injury: Shaq was injured in the Magic game with a contusion on his left calf. It was a game time decision on whether he would play or not so that should mean he is ok and will play against Sacramento.
I think hes just trying to be 100% for the Lakers game... I'm not surprised, why woulnd't he want to be. We didn't need him vs. the Celtics, Wade picked up the slack and got it done, and haslem took care of rebounding..

Quote:

O'Neal figures to be a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup with the Kings in Sacramento. If ABC officials had anything to do with it, he would probably be held out that night, as well, in order to solidify his standing for Saturday's melodrama against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers. "He doesn't have a major, major injury," Van Gundy said. "It's just a matter of swelling and pain." O'Neal was hurt when he was inadvertently kicked during Sunday's victory against Orlando. He continued on after the incident. O'Neal has not spoken with the media since Sunday, beyond his halftime interview on Monday Night Football.
That from Sun-Sentinel
I hope he plays against the Kings... we need him that game. I would really love to keep our streak alive, which I think we can if Shaq is in the game. I think he's goign to sit out this game... but hopefully I think wrong. We really need him against the Kings. Especially since Wade's getting D'd up on by Doug Christie.
