Most of the next 10 games being against good teams. I believe that those 10 games will either break or make our season tel lme what you guys think. Because i think we have a good shot of winning those games but we also have a good shot of loosing em. And i mean loosing big. So just post youre ideas and opinions. The Lakers need to egt there act together or else were screwed. Never tought it would come down to this.
Game 1: Vs. New Orleans - Very winnable Game 2: Vs. Miami - Winnable Game 3: Vs. Toronto - Very Winnable Game 4: Vs. Denver - Winnable Game 5: @ San Antonio - Doubt it Game 6: @ Dallas - Doubt it Game 7: Vs. Houston - Winnable Game 8: @ Minnesota - Doubt it Game 9: @ Denver - Winnable Game 10: Vs. Cleveland - Winnable
I dont get it, how is the game vs. the Heat winnable?? We're the hottest team in the NBA right now, arguably the best right now. We have a 9 game win streak, and you guys lost to Memphis while shooting .109 was it??? I don't know, maybe just me but Kobe 8 Ball is overrating your Lakers squad.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">I dont get it, how is the game vs. the Heat winnable?? And for you to think that the Heat will blow that game out is very ignorant...You know Kobe will show up..you know Odom will show up and want to make the Heat to pay for trading him. Caron will show up also, the game is winnable for us..
Shaq's injury was a game time descision, and was just a cautionary thing. He'll be more than ready for Saturday. I think he just watned to be 100% for the matchup of the year. We didn't even need him today anywyas, we're that good we can step up in the absence of our best player, can u guys without Kobe??

Was the Kobe comment even called for? Thats how non thread related arguments get started.
When Shaq claim the game meant absoloutly nothing to him. I'm sure David Stern and the NBA would really want Shaq healthy for thsi game aswell... it's the biggest ratings grabber game of the year, don't want anything wrong happening..

And even better with him...come play in the west without him in your lineup..see how good you think your team is then...

He said he's concerned with his charitable event where he gives out toys and getting toys for his own kids. This game is just another game. He also said he doesn't have to prove a point. He goes on about how he's "George Bush" and how he built the Staples Center and a bunch of other nonsense. The link is in another thread. It obvious he cares about the game. The Lakers, Kobe, and Kupchek is all he seems to talk about.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">I dont get it, how is the game vs. the Heat winnable?? </div> Because anything goes in rivalry games. There is the Shaq-Kobe rivalry, but there is also Odom and Butler going against their former teams. It will be a high emotion game, and any sports fan knows records and standings are thrown out the window in these type of events...

Alright so you guys think that the no defense, small ball Phoenix team isn't beatable. The lucky Seattle shooters, who have the worst defense in the league aren't beatable. The spurs, theyr'e a great team hands down. But the Heat who have really turned it up, tied in the league for the league leading 9 game winstreak, while Eddie Jones is playing better than any of your role players. Wade is on Kobe's level, and Shaq is just dominant. Plus we got Haslem getting a double double, Damon Jones doing his thing from the 3 point line. Dooling bringing a spark off the bench, same with Laettner.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Alright so you guys think that the no defense, small ball Phoenix team isn't beatable.</div> Yes I think that the Suns a team with the leagues 4th leading scorer, 2nd leading player in the league in field goal percentage, as well as having a player who leads the league in asssits per game, and having a player who averages a double double in Marion, and having the best record in the league will be a difficult win. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr. Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">The lucky Seattle shooters, who have the worst defense in the league aren't beatable.</div> Yes considering we lost to them once already, and they have the third best record in the league will be a diificult win. As well as them having one of the highest scoring offenses in the league ranked 6th, and holding there opponents to 94.5 points per game which is good enough for 11th in the league will be a hard game to win. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr. Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">The spurs, theyr'e a great team hands down.</div> Why even bother saying that I mean we all kow that. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr. Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">But the Heat who have really turned it up, tied in the league for the league leading 9 game winstreak, while Eddie Jones is playing better than any of your role players. So I do not see what the big deal is you do have four quality wins during this streak though so I am not trying to take anything away from you guys. A thing that i do not think you are taking into account is the emotion that will be invovled in this game on z-mas not only from Kobe and Shaq, but Odom and Butler playing Miami for the firs ttime they wikll be out to prove something. Atkins shoots 40% form the three point strip so he can match Jones three point shooting, Wade is stilla step below Kobe imo, Shaq is dominating like you said, but has ainjury now, and the Aslem is not averaging a double double but averaging 11 and 8. Then Dooling is as streaky as you can get the Lakers will just have a lot more riding on this game from a emotional stand point whcih will make it a good game.
Ah, there's nothing like a Heat fan bragging his team is the best in the league when they havn't won against the west and have lost all their games to the leagues elite. It's amazing what an easy schedule does to some fans. As for the Lakers schedule, most home games should be winnable. It's the road games that look like sure losses to me.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Alright so you guys think that the no defense, small ball Phoenix team isn't beatable. The lucky Seattle shooters, who have the worst defense in the league aren't beatable.</div> So we've come to the agreement that having an incredible defense isn't the key? That's the biggest problem right now for the Lakers...defense. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">But the Heat who have really turned it up, tied in the league for the league leading 9 game winstreak, while Eddie Jones is playing better than any of your role players. I think it was a few weeks ago that every single Heat fan wanted to dump Eddie Jones on his back...and now you're saying that Eddie is playing better than any of our role players? Sure, he's playing well...but let's see how long he can last before his lack of consistency sets in, and he notices how he'll be playing second fiddle...well...fifth fiddle...in the Christmas game to Shaq, Wade, Damon, and Haslem. As far as Wade being on Kobe's level...give up already. It's not gonna happen. Shaq's just as dominant? Maybe not like he was in 2000...he's playing like he did last year, and let's not forget what happened to Los Angeles last year. Don't even mention Laettner. Dooling won't be playing much on the 25th...the difference in this Christmas game is that the Heat will be pushing with Shaq and Wade so much that the others won't even matter late in the game. The Lakers are used to it with Kobe...so how will the Heat fare by doing this? It won't be a coaching decision...it'll be Shaq's temper, wanting the ball and showing that he and Wade are the best duo in the league. I really don't think Kobe and Co. will let that happen.

Very mediocre schedule you have had, none of those teams are really contenders if you ask me. Loss's: Dallas, San Antonio, Minnesota, Portland, Detroit, Toronto, and Denver. All the bold teams are contendors..all teams that you guys could not beat. Like Allnet said, very easy to think to highly of your team when they play an easy schedule. And one more thing...since when is Wade on Kobe's level? Holler at me with that statement when Wade has nine 40 point games in a row, averages 40 points for the month of december, is an allstar game MVP, hits numerous game winning shots, is one of the most clutch players in the league, gets 12 career triple doubles, and gets three championship rings. Then we can talk about Wade being on Kobe's level, until then keep that trash to yourself.
