The Kings(17-7)host the Miami Heat(20-7)at Arco arena Thursday night.

Let's see a Former Kings hater,Shaq is coming back to the Arco for the 1st time since he was traded,to lead the Heat against his former arch-nemeisis,the Kings [IMG]..anyways,i'm sure he will get booed [IMG]..back to the thread here,Miami has a great team this year, while Shaq has certainly helped out the Heat quite a bit this season,Miami seems to be a powerhouse this year.anyone that is a Heat fan, feel free to comment as i really i haven't been following the Heat,so if anyone that has..feel free to discuss the team's stregnths, and weaknesses to counteract here.

The Kings are going to have to guard the ball against Shaq and really step up to the plate, because if they don't do that, there's no way that the Kings will win.if we can do a great job of defending Shaq and keep things in an uptempo pace,we will win.

Prediction:I'll post one tommrow, after i evaluate things [IMG]

The Heat are 15-0 when scoring 100 + points. Granted that we don't play defense, I'm gonna predict a loss. I'll say about 109-99

Has anybody else noticed a considerable difference in Webber's jump the past few games?
I didn't get to see the Washington game because.....well, they didn't broadcast it nationally [IMG]. But I saw the highlights, and they showed 2 dunks by Webber, and on both of them, his jump looked REALLY good. In fact, one looked like he was flying, it made me go "WOW". He really looked like pre-surgery Webber.

but it aint gonna happen tonight.
you all know that I am going to be the first to tell it like it is. If the Kings blow the game, Ill admit it...
this game however... lets just say the outcome had just as much to do with the play on the floor as the refs calling the game....

    on to the better parts
for those of you that are still thinking Ostertag was a bad signing, you have no idea what you are talking about. Tonight 'tag showed exactly why Petrie signed him. I just wish he could throw a FT (went 1 for 5 at the line)

Mo Evans had a great game with 12pts 8rbs.

Stojakovic only got to the line once tonight... he grabbed 19pts, but he just didnt get any calls (and really didnt do much in the way of trying to get to the line unfortunatly). This was a game that he really needed to get to the line in & didnt.

Way to blow another big lead and lose the game around xmas once again.First thing that comes to mind is dallas last year.Didnt see christie get ejected or any of the questionable calls,or most of the game for that matter :king: .I just hate the way the kings give fuel to the haters.Such a nice game to win and they jump out to a big lead only to lose.HATE it...

yeah... which is why I cant say that it was all refs & questionable calls... they had the big lead late in the game & just let it slip away with those stoopid outside jumpers. I have no idea why they keep dropping back to that once they get a lead...

Good news and bad news judging from the boxscore. The bad news is the kings allowed the opponent to shoot a higher FG% than them at arco, not supposed to work that way. This is why they lost.Good news is the kings actually outrebounded a good rebounding team by a decent margin[IMG] .With Ostertag and Evans playing increased minutes later on in the season this past weekness (rebounding)of the kings can become a strength.Im very pleased to see Ostertag had 11 rebounds in 22 minutes [IMG].Ive thought to myself that if the Kings are going to improve on their rebounding and interior D Ostertag will have to get at least 20+ minutes of playing time, glad he proved me right.

That had to be the worst call I've ever seen. I don't know why, but the NBA refs are protecting Wade like they did for Jordan. In the past 3 nights, 2 players (one on each of my favorite teams) have been ejected for questionable calls involving Wade.

I thought the call on Ricky Davis the other night was horrible, but this one on Christie was even worse.

Urrgggh,We lost to the Heat 109-107.and too think we had a significant lead early on in the game, and we blew it.Well i tip my hands off to the Heat for a great game, and Shaq and Wade played great last night against us.

Things just didn't go our way in the end with Miller and Wade colliding and with Miller getting like 15 stitched in him, along with Christie getting fouled out of the game.

But give us credit somewhat,Bibby And Webber played well, and gave a great effort last night.my hat goes off to Miami for the win.

It's absolutely irritating when we blow leads like that, whether we end up losing or winning.
We put forth a good effort; the game was even closer than I predicted it would be. But we just couldn't come out with a W. Hope we rebound on Sunday against Golden State.
