Lets hypothetically say you were a Sixer fan and made it to the NBA. Now let's say you were originally on a decent Warriors team. After your contract expires, the Warriors are offering you 6 year 50 million to stay. The Sixers are also interested but, dont have cap room. So they can only sign you with the MLE at say...3 million. Assuming there is equal talent on both teams, would you rather sign with the team with more money or would you rather sign with the team you like better. Personally, I would rather sign with my favorite team and take the pay cut. For me it wont be the same playing in a city that I love. *All situations are hypothetical.
take the money...this is your job you need to get paid...I am serious too. Look sixers/golden state arn't both about to win any rings soon...take the big check...play the game...take an early summer(no playoffs).....and start a family and buy some beach front properity in hawaii.
I'm assuming this is 10 years in the futre. Both teams are decent playoff teams by then. Adding you will make them better.
Uh depends on the contract length. It could be a 3 year 50 Million dollar deal, compared to the 3 million a year with annual raises from my "Hometown Team" (Raps in my case).
Id go where i would get more playing time. Money doesnt matter ill take a pay cut i mean is 2 million a year gonna make a difference? If youre making 5 million a year 2 million is nothing.
I would go with the team that: 1. Has a great front office and coaching staff 2. A team that works hard I don`t care one bit about the money. I just would love to play in the NBA.
