In light of the much anticipated game between the Lakers and the Heat on Christmas Day, the JBB staff has noticed that there has been some violations of the JustBBall Guidelines taking place by members of both team fanbases. I would just like to reitorate that all members on this site are required to treat each other with respect. This means no personal attacks, no attacking ones intelligence, etc. It has also come to my attention that there has been a lot of "trolling" and "baiting" going on by both fanbases. I just want to make it clear that going into another team's forum for the sole purpose of trying to start smack and making posts for the sole purpose of trying to piss off the other teams fans will not be tolerated. There is a fine line between intelligent/mature discussion of this much anticipated game and what I have seen in both team forums in the recent days. I have instructed all moderators to be on the lookout for members who do not abide by the these guidelines and have authorized them to issue suspensions to any member who violates the rules. There will be no warnings. This is your warning. - Hunter Site Director JustBBall.com
Ok, I'll be sure not to break these rules, don't really think I have since I very rarely go to the Lakers forum. Btw: What's "trolling" and "baiting". I'm not really sure what that means. Thnx

Good thread, I have noticed this alot as well, especially in the Laker forum where posters come in simply to bash the Laker players and nothing else. There's really no need to act this way, you may hate the player or team, but give credit where credit is due and use facts and other things to backup your points instead of saying things like "Kobe is overrated because I said so". Some good debating is needed but not to the point where it gets personal and attacks are made. I think both teams fans need to take a little light into the situation and see it from the other's point of view as well before straight bashing them for thier views. But, I must admit, this whole Lakers/Heat thing really livens up this board.
I'd just like to say that this is the most anticipated game in the history of the NBA (well, to me...since 1983). I've been waiting for this game since the trade, and it's in a couple of days. Good luck to both teams, and for everyone on the Heat forum, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
