The Official "Trade Mike Miller" Thread

Hopefully it's only a matter of time before Mike Miller leaves Memphis. I'm not sure who else caught the Memphis game tonight, but what happened has really pushed me over the edge with Mike.

We were playing the Phoenix Suns, the best team in the NBA, who are 23-3 (or something like that... point is that they are really freakin' good). The game was at Phoenix too. Anyway, we were working our asses off the whole game (well... everyone except Miller) to get the Phoenix lead down to 3 points. We had the ball with about 30 seconds left, needing a three to tie but a two would have done nicely. I was feeling pretty confident about our chances of winning, but then the ball was passed to Miller. Seconds after he touched it, Mike Miller launched an airball three, which pretty much guaranteed us a loss. Then we had the ball again with about ten seconds left or so with a chance to cut the lead and possibly still get a win. What happens? Mike Miller throws the ball to a Sun (I think QRich). What a loser. [IMG]

Let's start the bidding here. What do you think we can get with Mike Miller? I'll settle for anything.

I'll give you Ibo Kutluay on the condition we can then loan Miller back to you, soccer style.

He did start off the game 6-6. They should of ran more plays for him IMO after the first quarter.

But I definitly agree that it was stupid of him to launch a 3 ball like that with over 24 seconds left, down by 3.

He started off pretty hot, but he played no defense the whole game and continued to make stupid decisions on offense.

If I were Jerry West, this would be going through the league offices right now.

We don't swing both ways. [IMG]

In all seriousness, what could we get for him? Morris Peterson? Reggie Evans?

I don't even think Toronto will give Mo-Pete for him. Mo is more inconsistant, but he's the Raps 1 on 1 defensive player. Right now Reggie Evans is a key to the Sonics sucess so I dont even think you will get him.

Maybe you can get Jamal Mashburn or Bostjan Nachbar for him in some deal [IMG]

I saw the one stupid three he took, he just had the ball for a while then just laucnched up a three with JJ right in his face, and I think the Grizz were down then, I prefer Posey, Battier and Wells to him because they're better defenders.

I don't think West is looking to trade him though, I thought they wanted to trade Bonzi because of his contract.

    How about Mike Dunleavy Jr?

We need a legit outside shooter, somebody that's more athletic than Dukie and somebody that can handle the ball as well. How are his back injuries? And MM isn't that soft is he? I would definitely want Battier more for his leadership and ability to play under pressure, but hey anything for Dunleavy that's worth a starter would be awesome. I would take an athletic/shooting, overrated rookie of the year from North Dakota for an overrated 2002 3rd overall pick.

Now he's just suffering from head injuries.

Well, let's just say that he's not hard.

Honestly, I'd do Miller for Dunleavy, Jr. in a second, and I'm sure you would too. However, if you knew Miller better, I doubt you'd do the trade.

LOL How about, David Wesley, Charlie Ward, and Reece Gaines for Mike Miller and Brian Cardinal? [IMG]

Not sure if you guys want a worn out veteran with an inconsistent three point shot and a bunch of scrubs.

I would be more than happy to take a nice young shooter off your hands. Also the rookie of the year? I wish we had him in New York that's all I could say!

Apparently, Miller had a great game last night, going for 28 points and making five threes. I guess he's just on and off all the time? I know how Grizzlie fans feel, I follow that type of player too: Yao Ming.

Skinny I can live with and he's a talented, albeit streaky shooter which we need. He'd probably be a better running mate with Jrich than Dun that's for sure.

i've always considered Mike Miller as a very good player, i like them streaky shooters, anyone who can catch fire like he can is very valueable, many teams would love to have that guy.

Anyone see him trying his hardest to give tonight's game away to the Hawks.

    Damn you, Mike Miller.
