We showed a lot of promise in the last game against the Knicks, so let's see if we can carry it over against one of the league's best. San Antonio has been dominant in matchups with Boston ever since Tim Duncan was drafted. The Spurs are 14-0 in games versus the Celtics since 1997.

Earlier this year, San Antonio visited the Fleet, and the Celts did pretty well for the first 3 quarters. We had a 7 point lead going into the 4th, but the Spurs won the 4th 33-18, and the game 92-84.

The Spurs proved that they are vulnerable to a run and gun style when they lost to Orlando Wednesday Night. The Magic ran a solid uptempo offense and beat the Spurs in fast break points by a total of 8 points, causing them to win by 6. The Magic are a team that have strengths and weaknesses that are similar to the ones that we have. In that game, the Magic were out-rebounded by a total of 7, and they trailed on the offensive boards by 9.

I hope Doc and the boys have watched and learned from the Magic/Spurs game. The only key to victory besides the obvious ones, would be running a consistent fast break. I have confidence in the Celtics to at least make a game out of this. I hope we see some big minutes for Al, Kendrick, and Tony, and a big night from the usual suspects. I am unaware as to whether Raef will be playing tonight, but I'm happy with the team either way. In the end, I do think that the Spurs will win, especially at home. But a game like this can be positive even if we lose, so let's hope it's enjoyable.

    Prediction:
    SPURS 103
    CELTICS 100

Well, the C's lost 107-90. Pretty promising game for Tony Parker and Ricky Davis. They both got 20-5-5, which is probably Ricky's best game this year. Tim Duncan looked good as always.
