Penney has been playing for the Asheville Altitude in the National Basketball Development League (NBDL), which is considered the feeding pool for the major league. There Penney averaged 9.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 12 games for the Altitude this season.

The 23-year-old will suit up for the Clippers in their next match against the Houston Rockets on Monday.</div>

I thought it was calling him tall and black, thats where he's from in Australia.

Great to see one of my favorite Badgers back in the league.

    Go Kirk

It's a sad day when the amount of New Zealanders outnumber the amount of Australian's in the NBA by 2-0.

    Bring on the Bogut.

    It's New Zealand [IMG] .

Kirk Penney could turn out to be a nice addition for the Clippers if he's given a chance to develop, he had a good career at Wisconsin and was unlucky not to get drafted.
He can come off the bench and knock down one or two jump shots a game, but not too much more in the NBA for now.
