***Only messing around here*** What player in the NBA would you trade Amare for? It has to be a straight up trade..... There are only 2 players I would trade for: KG Duncan Obviously you are trading for now, and not the future because these guys will start to wear down. Amare has a bright future, but is still raw. If the Suns acquired KG I think that would almost grantee them a championship this year.
The only players I would want for Amare would be Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and Dirk Nowitzki. The problem is that they are all glued to their Franchise's with these big contracts so this is not going to happen. It doesn't even work salery wise, Amare makes $2,032,200, where KG and Duncan are among the league leaders in salery. Duncan makes $14,260,640, and KG makes $16,000,000. Also the Suns are not under the cap so this deal would have to include Nash, Marion, or Q. Unless we wait until 2006, where we can make Amare his big max offer, I can't see the Suns breaking up their team after starting out with the league's best record to aquire Kevin Garnett, and in a couple of years who knows Amare migiht be the next KG. Amare has a bright future, I would wait before we make ANY deal involving him in it.
Personally i would never trade a person like amre form my team. Though i would hate for amare to turn out like Kenyon martin has without a good assist leader to set him up. Considering nash is getting older and will probally retire before amare does. Because amare has had good point gaurds setting him up his whole nba career, alla Steve nash and Stephon Starbury.
Amare will be better than KG and Duncan at this rate. 3rd season only and hes only 21 I believe and playing like the MVP. Hes amazing. I wouldnt think about trading him.
I wouldn't trade Amare for anyone... he's already a beast, already better than Shawn Kemp at his prime, the only guys I would trade Amare for are LeBron or KG, but both Minny and Cleveland GMs would be fired if they do the trade.

He isn't better than Duncan in his third year and the main reason he is better than KG is because of his more full-grown body. Amare is 20 and can put 260lbs. against the competition. When Garnett was 20 he had a weight of prolly 210lbs. That's an important factor, plus the fact Garnett will always be a more all-around player than Amare will be EVER.Amare has better numbers because of his different play-style, but I can garantee you, KG was a better player then, and always will be.

Didnt he go without a good pg while having a 21ppg 9rpg eason last year, his 2nd year in the league out of highschool?
Stoudemire is playing great basketball, is about 21, and is top in ppg. This guy is obviously turning out to be good. The only thing that I'm not too happy about is why the Knicks didn't get him in the draft!
I would never trade Amare if I were the Suns. He fits perfectly with their system. He in no way compares to Kenyon. Amare averaged monster numbers last year with Leandro running the point. Nash helps big time, but Kenyon relies on a point gaurd, Amare doesn't. However saying Amare is better than KG or Duncan... I think each player dominates a certain aspect of the game. Amare has more physical strength down low than either of these guys and more hops. Duncan has the best post game, and is a great passer. KG is a little bit of everything, and probably the best all around player. However KG has no rings, Duncan has two. So to measure how great Amare will be depends on where his team goes while he's there. So to sum up my point, No trade. We haven't seen what Amare can do with a team that's championship worthy. This year is his chance.
Why even propose a trade involving amare. He's a beast and he's young. The suns are doing good and will do good for many years with him. If you think the suns need a piece of the puzzle trade marion for a center (illguaskas and gooden for marion and johnson?) Never trade your franchise away.

Now my friend, would you trade away your franchise? Of course you would.

The only players worth Amare are really Dirk, AI, Garnett, or Duncan. But I highly doubt and of teams would trade those players for Stoudamire. Also why trade Stoudamire for one of those guys, it is practically the same trade and if they got AI, they would be lacking inside presence
I would trade Amare for Shaq and Dwanye Wade. That is what I would do.-Orginally posted by sonic1 Get real amare ain't even worth wade let alone shaq.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Sonics1:</div><div class="quote_post">I would trade Amare for Shaq and Dwanye Wade. That is what I would do.</div> Please explain to me why the Heat would do this...They are at the top of the East and have the best duo in the NBA, why break that up? They are the early favorite for the Finals and according to Mark Jackson (on SportsCenter) he thinks that the Heat will win the NBA Championship. They have won 12 in a row and I feel the Heat have no need to trade anybody in their starting lineup yet (except maybe Eddie Jones). Also last time I checked Shaq makes just over $27,000,000, that would be around a 24 million dollar difference in salery just Amare for Shaq. This trade would not be possible unless we add one of our starters in the deal, say Steve Nash. Now you got a completly diffent deal, Nash and Amare for Shaq and Wade (which still wouldn't work but a little more real). Sounds like a fantasy league trade to me...
