We all have seen Allan Houston for a total now of 9 games. I just thought we should keep a note on how our captain has been improving since his return. I will update every game he plays. You should have made a Stat Tracker for Stephon Marbury...Alot of Knicks fans may be more interested in their best player than Houston. He's not showing out enough to worry about...Marbury on the other hand is.
I did Allan Houston to show the improvement from his knee injury. I guess someone else can do Marbury if they want to. I do think that if one should have been done, it should have been Allan Houston. His progress is a neccesity.
Good idea. I probably would have done it myself but to be honest I've been feeling kind of lazy lately. The record could have easily been 7-2 if the refs had called the Wizards game right and if Crawford hadnt made that stupid play against Detroit. Maybe you oughta do one for Nazr to see how much he's improving. And one for TT so we can laugh at him.
mrj18- This is the last sticky for the Knicks forum, ok? I was never fond of a tons of stickies. And I never really loved the stat trackers either. But if you want it stickied it's ok. Stickies are only for urgent topics for debate or for announcements or something of that nature. So let's try to stop the whole sticky craze.

It's official, Allan Houston needs to shoot more, needs to be more selfish. Being one of the purest shooters in the league and the best on the team (no questions asked). He avgs almost 11pts with 9 attempts per game. If he can put up 15-20 shots, he can really contribute. Sometimes he goes through long stretches in a quarter with only getting 2-3 attempts. In Houston's best year (02-03) he avg 22.5 pts with 18 shot attempts/game. Now that he is getting the minutes he should put up shots.

Sometimes I think he doesn't want to hurt the team so much, that he doesn't shoot. Once he gets confidence from a really good game, he will probably shoot more. With Crawford out, he has a perfect opportunity to take advantage of time at the SG spot. He has been getting about 30 minutes pergame and shooting only 9 attempts per game with his jumpshot is hurting the Knicks. Let's see what he is going to do today in Cleveland.

Sorry for the late edit everyone. Allan Houston has been erratic as of late. He shot well today at 5-10, but that's it. No rebounding or anything. I think he should have really gotten more time especially because Crafword just came back from an injury, and also because of those illadvised shots. Let's see what he does on Wednesday.

Especially since we've dropped alot of close games where Houston's clutch shooting was sorely missed. As for Crawford being a premier SG....you cant be serious, and I'll remember you said that. He doesnt have the mentality to be a premier SG. He has the talent but it takes more then that to truly be a premier player at any position. Crawford will get no better than he already is. He's going to end up like Jalen Rose(which isnt too bad of a thing). No defense, constantly shooting but had lots of potential. I dont expect his stay in New York to be too long. I doubt he'll finish up the rest of contract with the Knicks. The hope of the future Knicks rests with Sweetney and to a lesser extent Ariza.
^I hopw you're right about Crawford leaving soon. He hasn't lived up to his expectations we gave him this season. Until he gets that mental part (not settling for jumpers, making smarter decisions, playing defense), he can't be a premier guard. I heard he has been really trying, and telling the coaches to get on him more when he took a bad shot. If he can just play smart ball, it's all good with me but if he continues like that, I would welcome any trade. It really says something when you shot more 3's than freethrow attempts. I think that stat is improtant.
