<div class="quote_poster">Quoting custodianrules2:</div><div class="quote_post">When has this team ever kept anyone together? We're basically the farm team for the Wizards. I hope we keep a solid core together, but you have to look at the financial side of things. Cohan hasn't proved that he will be willing to go way over the cap to keep a core where Jrich and Murphy are making top dollars and mediocre lockeroom leader/role players like Adonal Foyle and Derek Fisher are making quite a bit themselves. I just don't see our team being kept together without sacrificing talent. What we need is flexibility or a new owner who has a game plan and can keep the GM in line because he knows basketball and what style of team he wants.</div> I agree. Cohan hasn't given big money to us in what seems to be an eternity.
Hey 17 pts on 6-12, 7 rebounds and 8 assists is pretty nice. Dunleavy and Murphy were playing very well off each other. Then Fisher decides its time to jack up shots in the 4th, ugh. Then again, Dunleavy needs to be more assertive in the 4th, he only got the walking violation.
^ Dunleavy has promise ... TRUST ME GUYS! He'll be Good ... in fact ... he already is ... he just needs that right opportunity to shine and he'll have you guys eating your words ...
How is it that 6-12 and 3-7 on 3's is bad shot selection? He's got the highest shooting percentage on the team.
Dunleavy was considered one of the top shooters in his years at Duke ... And as far as Shot Selection ... it seems like he barely takes shots
Yeah, but that don't mean crap if you can't compete with the big boys and you're not willing to step up and rise to the occasion. We've been waiting almost 3 years for this guy to do something as a starter and he's just so soft and unathletic... At least be physical and strong if you can't be quick. I guess on the bright side he is using that big first step more. I figure why be that tall and not use that to your advantage? Then again I remember he is more scared of taking it at the hoop than Zarko trying to dunk on Danny Fortson.
He's been in the league exactly 2 and 1/3 years. Lay off. Eddy Curry and Kwame Brown have more time in the league.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Air Pietrus:</div><div class="quote_post">He is inconsistent unlike Pietrus which is why we need to get rid of him</div> Id have to disagree a little bit...Dunleavy has actually consistantly sucked pretty much throughout the year... On the other hand Peitrus has some great games and others he looks lost and out of control...you never know what he'll do, sometimes he does things that look brilliant and other times he does things alot stupider then Dunleavy.. But dont get me wrong..I like Peitrus 20x's more then Mike..
Pietrus is consistent? I love the guy, but that is not quite the adjective I would choose for him. He is still figuring out his offensive game, so that seems to change every couple days, and he is so paranoid about the new checking rule that his defense isn't even a given anymore. His energy and commitment are constant, though. And touching on one of the other points, I think Dunleavy's shot selection is excellent. He only shoots when he has wide open looks, and he has the capability of hitting consistently from most spots on the court. Probably the only person who has better shot selection on the team is Speedy. By my estimation, a major problem is that while these two guys are being so selective, other players are hoisting up fadeaway J's.

That doesn't make sense when Dunleavy's had all this college experience and he's older coming into the league than those two guys. Besides I doubt anyone's really pulling for Curry or Brown as the answer. Why don't we think of a small forward to make comparrisons to rather than a Power Forward or Center. Big men generally take more time to develop than wing players. Then I'll agree that 2 and 1/3 years isn't enough time for some starting players.

What irks me is when Dun supporters goe crazy when he has one good game and then he falls into his normal routine of being mediocre with one or two good passes and two or three really lousy turnovers that aren't expected of somebody so saavy, along with some badly missed shots where he's wide open or he can't finish on the drive. Defensively, I'd rather not talk about the lack of help defense the team gives to him or the fact Dunleavy can't guard someone individually if his life depended on it. He's just not a good fit on the warriors. I don't know if he's even a good fit for any team as a starter.
Is there anyway The Warriors can send him to The Clippers so his Daddy can make him into a basketball player? Or how about sending him to Duke for a few more years and get that top lottery pick back in return?

When we got Dun-Dun, he looked like a great draft pick, but now he is just either sucking or scoring 17 and then sucking. Just trade him
