What in the hell should Troy be unhappy about being benched? He spoke his mind about his situation last night after the game. He talked about how he is not getting a chance to play in which he cited he was benched after three minutes and then he talked about how he needs to be in rhythm. He talked about how he needed to score or he would be riding the pine.

First off, his lack of output is not the reason why he is on the bench. The reason he was on the bench last night was because he is playing lousy. Yeah he is making shots sometimes, but he is not passing the ball especially to KG. He just shoots as he soon as he has the ball. The offense is not functioning well when he is playing. That's why he is being benched. It's not because he is not scoring. I doubt Flip is worried about PGs not scoring. He wants the offense to run like a well-oil machine through passing not hoising three-pointers. He was back on the bench after just two minutes because he immediately hoisted up bad shots. Also he is not going through the rack much like he used to. He is just shooting jumpers rather than go to the paint and score. He is just not playing properly which is why he is benched not because of his performance.

The sad thing is Troy is being obvilious to why he did not play much last night. I like to think he realize what he is doing wrong. Hopefully, Flip and KG can have a chat with him and then he learns from it and move on. Now it's not the time for him to pout and make an issue out of it. He should learn what Anthony Carter is doing and duplicate that. Troy is lot better than what he is showing right now.

I have no problem with what Flip did last night. If he felt that was the right thing to do, he got my endorsement. I am glad Flip did something about it. Hopefully, this will wake up Sammy, who is not playing that great either.

Trade him, I think it was a mistake when the Wolves first decided to re-sign him during the offseason. And I think its still a mistake. The fact is you cant play two scoring point guards in a rotation together effectively unless you are willing to play them both at the same time, from time to time like Coach Karl did in Mil-town with Payton and Cassell a couple years back or Van Exel & Nash as well, better yet Jackson & Bibby, they could all be on the floor together at times as a combo giving them all a chance to stay in the rythm of their games. Cassell & Hudson cant be on the floor together because it becomes a major defensive liablty, so you going to have both wanting & needing major minutes at one position in order to be effective. And that just isnt going to work. The Wolves need Cassell on the floor 30+ minutes inorder to win. So I would just trade Hudson see if a big becomes available.

Which team would want him with the contract he has now?

I am not sure if minutes are the reason why Troy is not doing well. Troy is not doing the things that is making him successful. All he does is hoist his shots. If he can pass the ball smoothly and just attack the rime like he used to do, he will be fine. He needs to do more than just hoist the shots.

I think Houston would really be attracted by him. They really need a point guard, and they were already interested in Hudson this offseason. I really don't know who the Rockets would have to offer, but I really wouldn't mind seeing some more of AC and some less of Huddy.

Houston would probably give up Howard, the Wolves were interested in him last year, when his stock wasa higher, so he is probably the most likely But I much rather get a third team involved cause the Wolves no longer need him at the backup 4, with E-Griff in town. Or believe it or not I would easily take Mutombo over Howard. Mutombo is like a 100 years old and wont score but has size and can still block shots at the 5 position. And most importantly his contract is over at the end of the season.

That's what I was saying before. Mutumbo would be like having Theo Ratliff in the middle. We would sometimes like to have some scoring at the 5 (remember what Deke did hear last season?) but a dominant presence in the lane should help in some of our weakside defense woes. DAMN! I wish we could have had a crack at Jim Jackson.

I see Troy's agent is speaking out for him about how the Wolves are making him a scrapegoat for them underacheiving and how they are not communicating with him. Is he kidding me? Flip made it clear just last week that he was not happy with some players shot selection and how some of the guys are playing selfish. There is no question that Flip was referring to Troy. I am sure Flip has talked about Troy's shot selection to Troy. Troy knows darn well why he is being benched. The last thing Troy needs is his agent to speak on his behalf. What Troy needs to do is start playing better not whining about his situation.

Here what's Troy agent has to say:

Another thing. I am sick and tired of the soap opera with the Timberwolves. There has been too many of that this season with Sam and Latrell whining about their contracts, Wally talking about how he need to start, Latrell whining about feeding his family and then cursing at a fan in LA, Michael Olowokandi being arrested in Indianpolis, and now this with Troy. This team needs to play good basketball instead of dealing with this stuff.
