His temper can cause his team some problems. When he gets mad, he gets a T sometimes. Also last year he had many T's and got ejected a few times
Rasheed takes the outside shot a little too much, especially in close game situations. Against New Jersey a 2 pointer would've won the game, but Sheed was floating out at the three point line, and of course missed the shot as he was having a terrible shooting night.
Air Pietrus mentioned his temper...I'm going to lean towards that a little, but also bring up the fact that he believes the refs are always against him...that every foul is a conspiracy. I just don't like that attitude...even if it is true.
His temper is fine, which at times actually helps the team emotionally when they need a spark. His techinals are down from past seasons and rarely has run in's with any refs. So I would disagree with the temper as a real negative. His main problem is rebounding and as embersyc said floating on the arc instead of going inside. He is a better player than what he has done so far. Injury and being over weight hurt him at the start of the season. He has got in better shape and because of that has been far more active defensively. His offensive game isn't anywhere near as strong as It needs to be, which is why the Pistons have struggled scoring. He should be averaging at least 16-17 points per game. I'm hoping his averages will increase come 2nd half of the season.
I don't really think that Sheed is the best player on their roster. Career wise Sheed is the best on their roster, but this year it's Rip Hamilton IMO. But w/e Sheed weakness is his lack of aggresiveness this year. Last year he was SOOOO much more agressive in the paint and on the rebounding ends. He needs to continue that if the Pistons want to repeat.
i have no problem with Sheed shooting 3's. he has hit big 3's and should always be a threat from that range. i DO have a problem with his refusal to constantly abuse people in the post. homerism aside, i think Sheed is among the top post players in the league. i wish he'd look for his shot more in the paint.
