He is an excellent three shooter, but he can't shoot free throws for beans. You'd think that if you were a good three shooter you'd be a good free throw shooter, but it's not like that for Baron Davis

Baron is a good player, when he is healthy. Baron Davis is a very injury proned player and I think that's his biggest negative.

It's hard to pin point his weaknesses right now since he hasn't been playing much...

One would be getting in shape, he came in shape last season, but isn't always in the best shape he can be in.

The second would be easing up on the three point attempts and taking the ball to the basket more. I think his free throw discrepency adds to the fact that he doesn't drive because he doesn't want to draw the foul and miss free throws, but the thing is that he can get in the lane at will, an is strong.

Third would be his free throws, it's very likely mental, because he can shoot, and has good form, so I don't really know what to say about it, maybe he needs to establish a very effective rythm at the line.

Apart from that I can't thing of anything, he's a good defender, passer, rebounder for a PG, scorer, and takes care of the ball especially considering the options on the team and how much he has to do.

The three point attempts is a big one though....

I agree he does chuck up too many 3s sometimes and is very injury prone.

A few negatives come to mind.

He's become a very injury proned player. Been missing a lot of games and it really afects the team. Another negative is his shooting %'s. At the freethrow line, he shoots horrible. From the field, again, he shoots bad %'s. I was going to mention, another negative is that he jacks up too many 3's and that can also be a big aid to the bad %'s he shoots.

well baron davis has a few glaring negatives, the biggest is his conditioning, he always seems injury-prone and not as fit as he should be.

another thing is his shot selection he has the tendency to jack up treys and miss when his team is down.

another concern is his free throws, i don't see why he can easily nail a contested three pointer, only to miss at the free throw line. i had this suggestion earlier: davis should shoot jumpshots instead of set shots at the freethrow line

Sure he can, just so he doesn't jump over the line.
