Celtics Alternate Jerseys

So, I just got my first look at the alternate jerseys that the Celtics are apparently going to wear and I'm very surprised, cause they're not hideous. For those of you who haven't seen them, they're a darker green with black letters and numbers, a black seem down the sides of the shorts and a shamrock on the leg.

Anyone know when they are scheduled to wear them?

Ahh, I posted this like 2 months ago on the NBA section but it got moved.

It's dark green, with Black on the side and I think white outlining, with white text that says Boston in white.

If you guys have NBA Live 2005, you can unlock it and check a graphic of it there.

 

I only saw them cause I've got a friend who works for the Raptors. He has pics of all the alternates, but no dates of when they are being worn. I've never posted a picture before so I hope this works...here
The shorts are particularly sweet. They are the same green with black going down the sides then flare out in a sort of triangle, like the Rockets, but all black with a green outline of a shamrock. Kind of hard to describe, but trust me, you'll like them. I can't wait to get a pair.

I'm glad they kept it basic. Now I just have to decide which player I'm going to get.

The jersey concept looks hot, but it doesn't look so good as a replica, it just looks akward, with the screen print. And thanks for showing me props Quickness, it's nice to get recognized.

I think I'm going for one of the rookies. I already have like 6 Pierce jerseys and a LeFrentz, so I hope they print some Allen's and Jeffersons.
And now that I look at them, the fact that they say "Boston" instead of "Celtics" on the front makes me think they're wearing them on the road...

 

6 Pierce jerseys? Damn. I thought I was bad with my 3. I have the home, away, and 2004 all-star jerseys. I would imagine that Jefferson jerseys will be the next popular ones beyond Pierce and Davis. I do want a Davis one but I'm scared he'll get traded if I do. My friend bought an authentic Walker a week before he got traded.

Very nice about time they got some new jerseys they kept it basic like you said, but some how it has a newer feel to it.

 

Only place I've seen them before now was on NBA Live 05 when I put in the alternate codes

I like them though, I'm all for sticking to tradition, but in this day and age I think you need to expand your boundaries a bit too. Still a very classy looking jersey.

oooh, Thrilla, you have no idea. My girlfriend calls my closet the ProShop. Last unofficial count was somewhere around 80 jerseys total, counting football and hockey.
You know, I think a Davis would be a good investment. A Payton, however, not so much... And at least your friend spent money on a good player. I've got my fair share of Mercers, 'Niques from his one year here, Bakers, Andersons, Montross and Barros.

Agreed. What I like is that they are a variation of what the jersey usually is, not completely out of nowhere like some of these alternate jerseys.

 

I don't think they look that good. I'm glad they didn't throw in any new colors or something stu[id like that but I think they look like a college uni or something. oh well. maybe they'll look better on the court

 

Those jersey's are smokin'. They're just plain and simple. Teams like the mavs and Hornets try to put to much into their uniforms. (The Mavs green ones or the Hornets yellow) I like how they put the black into them.

I think they need to remake the jersey model from the 80's. Good Ol' Larry Joe Bird jerseys.

Maybe it's just the photo quality or my monitor, but that color green is simply putrid! What is that, a variant of teal?

If they were going to go with an alternate, it probably should have been the grey they messed with 5-6 years ago.

I don't mind the black trim, but that green is UGLY.

 

I think it's a combination of the picture and the fact that it's a cheap replica jersey. I've been searching like a madman for a better picture of it, but I haven't found one yet. If I do find one, I'll post it.
