<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Hornets Suspend Jackson Indefinitely New Orleans - The Hornets suspended guard/forward Jim Jackson indefinitely for failing to report to the team. Jackson was acquired along with forward Bostjan Nachbar from the Houston Rockets in exchange for guard David Wesley on December 27. The trade will not be affected by Jackson's suspension, meaning Nachbar will be available for tonight's contest vs. Phoenix. "We're confident that once Jim has time to evaluate his situation more closely, he'll understand that we have a great organization and a tremendous coaching staff and that New Orleans is a wonderful place to become part of the community," said Hornets General Manager Allan Bristow. "The Hornets have established a strong winning tradition over the years. We plan to continue to work tirelessly to get back to that." Jackson has spent time with Dallas, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Golden State, Portland, Atlanta, Cleveland, Miami and Sacramento in addition to Houston (where he signed as a free agent prior to the 2003-04 season). He had averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds in 24 games with the Rockets this season.</div> Source
Well obviously he is NOT happy about the Rockets trading him, and trading him to the worst team in the league doesn't help.

Their is no excuse for not showing up and if I was the Coach or in the front office I would have suspended him also. He has to know that life has bridges for him and he has to cross them. This was the right thing point blank period.
I don't blame Jim for this matter. He has a right to feel bad about his being traded. He has done nothing wrong during his time with the Rockets and after being promised the opportunity to play out his career here, Carroll Dawson turned on his back and traded him. Had he been traded for a star player or someone who would help our team, I would understand and even applaud this move. However, what does David Wesley do better than Jackson? Although I have respect for him as a player, Jackson is better at almost every facet of the game.
Who wouldn't be angry after coming from a promising team with two new stars to a team that has nothing going for them. Dawson even promised him that he can play out his career here. Major back stabbing by the general manager trading him to New Orleans. Great job Dawson. It wasn't even for a legit star or quality role player. Just some guy that doesn't fit into our system. Hopefully, Jim Jackson can think this through and understand the league. Knowing him, he'll probably play his hardest for New Orleans once he reports back. That's why he's was such a great player for Houston. Jim Jackson, you will be missed.
First off he needs to report, because its the most professional thing to do. Second when did we ever hear CD promise Jackson he'd end his career in Houston, now im not saying it wasent wrong to trade him, but we dont know why this happened. Personally I dotn think the trade hurts that much, but I do think he was a positive player for the team.
My report was true The thing is, I would've been so much more pissed. NO should be happy, they just got rid of Wesley's contract, for Boki's. Even if JJ reports, the NBA can take away his paycheck, as they already have done, meaning, basically, he'd be playing for nothing. He should take a step into the FA market, maybe sign with a team that is good next year. NO should trade him to Denver, for their first round pick. Jackson was in his 30s, but he played like a 28 year old. Seriously. He was so in-shape. Wesley however, relies on his shot and his mediocre driving abilities. Sure he can average 13 points a game on the HORNETS being the SECOND option. But try the ROCKETS being the THIRD or even FOURTH opton.. If JJ and Mo Taylor were on the same team, both 1 and 2 scoring options, they would both average atleast 17 points a game. JJ did everything for us, it feels stupid that we traded him.. Good Luck wherever JJ, you're really gonna be missed.
I really thought he wasn't the "Traveling Man" anymore..what you know BAM he's gone. I hope CD know's how his fans feel and how much this hurt HIM and the FANS. Oh wait..he doesnt care. *sniff*
