Well with Cleaveland losing today, the Knicks were able to come within 2 wins away from taking the #2 seed in the east. It is still early but, I just wanted to note the progress of the Knicks. In my opinion the Knicks have a better squad then Cleaveland, and I think if they continue to play basketball like this, they can become #2 at the end of the season. Maybe #1! Maybe I'm pushing it a bit. But, the Knicks are definitely on a role going 7-3 in their last 10 games. We have New Jersey on Saturday which should be a very winnable game for us. Even with the addition of Vince Carter. If we play basketball like we should and play with the same intensity like today, we should get a solid W. We also have a tough one against Sacremento at the Garden on Tuesday. Again we have the homecourt advantage which can prove to be so crucial for us. Correct me if I'm wrong but, the last time the Kings won here in NY, was in 1995 right? Even with that team Layden composed, the Knicks were always able to come up with a win against the Kings at MSG. These games like every other game, is improtant for our future and I think the Knicks should pay even more attention to these seed situations. We have a little road ahead of us that we can cross. I picture it like this. Does anyone remember that show Captain Planet? For those who do, whenever they worked as a team Captain Planet helped them. It's almost as if whenever the Knicks work as a team, instead of a physical presence they get a mental confidence that helps them defeat even the most toughest opponents like Minnesota.
We're going to have to look out for the 76ers, since they are 2 games back and just won 3 in a row, if we want to keep our 3rd seed in the playoffs. If the sixers capture 1st place in the atlantic, BOOM, we fall to 6th-8th seed.

climbin "We have New Jersey on Saturday which should be a very winnable game for us. Even with the addition of Vince Carter. When they come out inspired and motivated they can play with any team in the NBA as evident tonight. But when they play teams of a lesser caliber they often come out flat and sweat out games that should be easy Ws. If they beat the teams they should and some of the games against the teams of their caliber or better they will one of the best teams in the East.
With the Pistons falling before the Heat tonight the Knicks now own the fifth best record in the East. The teams that are ahead of us are the Heat, Cavaliers, Magic and Wizards. Actually I believe that the Cavs, Magic and Wizards all have the same record as I speak. Their barely ahead of us. If we win or one of them loses we will move up. Our next game is against the Nets which shouldnt be too much of a problem. I'm just hoping that we dont play down to them. That game against the Bobcats is a perfect example of what Jwohl is talking about. It shouldnt have been that close. But we should win on Saturday whether we play down to their level or not. By next week I believe we'll have the third best record in the East or perhaps even second best. Then we'll definetely establish ourselves as a contender in the East.
