    1st) Ronnie Brown RB Auburn
    3rd) Wesley Britt OT Alabama
    4th) C.J. Mosely DT Misouri
    5th) Travis Daniels CB LSU
    7th) Jonathan Goddard DE Marshall

I would be most excited if it went down exactly like this. I think Ronnie would be fantastic. The player I am most excited on this list about is the 7th rounder. JG has a real motor is a perfect tweener OLB/DE that will give Saban flexibility on Defense.

i still think its best to take Alex Smith. He is YOUNG, 20 years old and can be in the NFL for 18-20 years. He could be another Dan Marino for us, he proves he has good potential. He is a Franchise QB, and thats what we need. Otherwise we will be cutting and signing QBs every 2 years. I like the draft like this:

    1. Alex Smith
    2. Trade Surtain to KC for 2nd rounder and draft David Baas (OG)
    3. A strong safety, mayybe Ernest Shazor or another good prospect
    4. Darren Sproles (RB)
    5. Albert Means (DT) the guy is huge and we need a young good DT
    6. a Wide Reciever, whoever.
    7. Kelly Griffeth (TE) he is 6'5 and weighs around 285 pounds. He's a monster

This way we fill out QB needs with a FRANCHISE QB. We get an Offensive Guard which we desperately need. We get a SS, im not convinved on Tillman or Bua. We get a good RB in Darren Sproles. A young DT because Chester/Bowens are getting old. A wide receiver to groom. And we also get a young TE. McMichael is awesome, but Lee and Perry arent that great.

Thats the most well thought out post I have ever read from you....I can tell you studied the team....I do like your ideas about the draft.....I would change a few things though:

    1.Alex Smith....I like the pick
2.Assuming the Surtain trade, David Baas, can play C or G, I like that
3.Shazor....I love that pick, that guy is athletic as hell
    4.I dont think they have a 4
5.Means....yeah, hes a risk/reward guy, but hes huge and he can play Nose in the 3/4
    6.They dont have a 6th
7.whoever, just get a guy with upside....

I just copied the phins from my subscription. I could not find a link to the entire draft.

Worst case scenario, your local book store should have this edition on shelves now.

The last time Miami drafted a QB from the U of Utah ('90 or '91), it worked out okay. It was not until Scott Mitchell left that he sucked.
