The answer, in my opinion, is Yes

    The Question:
Can a team be too deep?

We had great role players last season who really knew their roles and excelled. Hoiberg and Hassell are my strongest points. I'm starting to agree with posters who think that Spre or Szczerbiak need to be moved. If it wasn't for Wally's contract, I'd definitely keep him, and still even though I'm torn. He's been doing a helluva job getting this team to the stripe. And I like Spre's aggressiveness when he shows it. The playoff flair that he has (you know what I'm talking about). Spre's cheaper, but older and has baggage. Spre and Cassell are boys, that's also good for chemistry. But seriously, something has to change so this team can gain their identity again.

I am also noticing something. This team is not having fun like they did last year. They are not enjoying playing basketball. It seems they are not playing for each other and that there is too many miscommunication on offense as you saw tonight against the Knicks.

I think the roster is fine. Guys just need to play better and stop being selfish.

They should have like a team 'fun-day' or social get-together of some sort. At least an encouraging team-meeting. It worked for my high school team...its sounds gay (vulgar), but there is no other way I can think to make team mates be gay (happy) while playing b-ball.

Well Flip Saunders can always take his team to bowling or to Las Vegas like Pat Riley used to do with the Knicks in his time there. I don't know how much it would help, but it can't hurt either.

The team didnt make smart move during the offseason honestly, instead of re-signing Hudson they should spent that money on gaining a big. Iam not blaming the losing all on Hudson cause as we seen against the Knicks, he didnt play and they still had the same kind of struggles, my point is the wolves put their bread in the wrong basket. The Wolves could have aquired a cheaper backup like Anthony Johnson or Mike James. And then used Hudson type money on a big.

The problem for the Wolves is defense even more then the fact they have little chemstry on offense, its even worst on D. The guards cant keep anybody in front of them. And the bigs are horrible in their help defense. The Wolves have no shot blocking resistence at the basket. So teams know to attack the Hoop against the Wolves, you will score or get to the line almost everytime. I think that a secret missing link to this team is the fact Ervin Johnson is too old to give them consistent minutes. He was argueably their best help defender last year. He always showed to stop penetration in Pick & Roll situation, the Wolves just dont get that with Kandi.

Henacy: The reason why Troy was re-signed was because he was a good insurance in case Sam got hurt as you saw in the playoffs during the spring. Plus the Wolves did not want to make the same mistake that they did with Bobby Jackson few years ago as you see Jackson blossoming into an impact player with the Kings. I thought it was a good signing at the time. He was playing well up to this year.

Personally, I wanted Derek Fisher coming off the bench, but he wanted to start and Golden State was dumb enough to overpay him so he signed with the Warriors. Of course, he is not the player he was for the Lakers as you are seeing this year. I rather have signed Fisher than re-signed Hudson.

fisher would have been good off the bench. he would've given the spark necessary and the selflessness over troy's.
