<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Latrell Sprewell was rescued from NBA purgatory five years ago by the Knicks, who were willing to take a chance on a talented player with a troubled past. The risk was well worth the reward as Sprewell helped the Knicks reach one NBA Finals and two conference finals. Next summer, the Knicks may try to take the same gamble on Ron Artest, who currently is serving a season-long suspension for his part in a brawl last month in Detroit. Sprewell sees plenty of similarities between himself and Artest and feels that New York would be an ideal place for Artest to get a second chance.</div> Link Here is another one of your daily dose of Knick Rumors. Artest really could be valuable but, I doubt that it will ever happen. How would we get him. I really don't see how. Just another ___________________________________ <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wally Szczerbiak thought a genuine chance existed of fulfilling his dream and becoming a Knick this summer. But now the Long Island resident believes circumstances have changed and he's not sure it makes sense for the Knicks to add another swingman, as long as Houston's knees hold up. Last August, Isiah Thomas and the Wolves discussed a trade involving Kurt Thomas and Moochie Norris for the Cold Spring Harbor sharpshooter. "When all the trade rumors were coming up in the summer, it was something that was very intriguing as someone who grew up here," said Szczerbiak. "Now it's died down. The Timberwolves were happy with the way I'm playing. It's a longshot. With guys coming back, Allan (Houston), (Jamal) Crawford playing well, I'm Tailor made to play with the Wolves.</div> Link We really do have many swingman. I also wouldn't want to give up Kurt Thomas. I know he is valuable but, I didn't know like this. This is possibly the best year he has ever had. I can't believe I was about to trade him in the summer Wally I think might have become a decent addition for us at the SF spot but, we still do have TT who has been playing decent as of late. Both Wally, and Artest wont be wearing a Knicks uniform anytime soon. Just another rumor.
rumors I agree that they are just rumors but I think Isiah will explore all possible options. I would personally love having Artest on the Knicks he would give us the defensive player we so sorely need.
Penny's and TT's contracts will be expiring next season. The Wolves are looking to cut costs. It's quite possible the Knicks will be able to get Wally in one of our uniforms next summer. The Pacers are tired of Artest of his nonsense so it doesnt require a large stretch of the imagination to see Artest playing for New York. Then again I doubt Pacers management will hand over Artest to a team that could be a possible threat in the East. But hopefully Wally will be playing for his hometown next season.
