Maybe if he weren't such a jerkoff, he could get more endorsements. Then his NFL contract wouldn't matter.

I am happy to see he is still the same locker room cancer as always. He cares more about himself than winning, and will hold the eagles back. I heard he said some negative comments bout McChokes super bowl performance. For him it is all about unity. Or at least what is in the middle of 'unity'.

    A few things...

I'm no fan of Rosenhaus in the slightest way, but last night he made some good points. Although everyone is sporting this $50 mill contract, TO doesn't make most of that until the later years. TO is in his 10th NFL season, and even in the shape TO is in, I doubt he'll finish through the contract before retiring. He doesn't want a new contract, he wants some of the money he gets in those later years, in the next couple years. The money he makes next year doesn't put him in the top 10 WR salaries, even though he is clearly a top 10 WR if not the best. To me, those are good arguements, but it doesn't justify what he's doing. I think if he took his case to the Eagles, and kept it that way, then this wouldn't be a big deal. But since he took it to the media, and since he's TO, it's getting ridiculous. I feel when you sign a contract, you should follow through with it, but it should go both ways. The teams should have to follow through with it if a player should. A team can cut a player midway through the contract, but someone can't ask to re-structure their own? I'm not saying I agree, but I do think this isn't a huge deal like everyone points out.

As for the McNabb comment, I'm not bothered by it. We have a long time for TO and McNabb to patch things up, and I'm willing to bet they already did. TO and McNabb had a great relationship before this, and I doubt this comment will do much, if any, damage. We'll just have to see

A commentary editorial from today's Indy Star... Heh heh...

    **************************
    Commentary: Tom FitzGerald
We all can feel the pain of Eagles' underpaid Owens, right?
    **************************

Agent Drew Rosenhaus told Philadelphia Eagles fans that Terrell Owens' demand to have his contract renegotiated is perfectly reasonable.

"He wants what's fair, just like you would in your job. If you were underpaid, you would want more."

You bet, Drew. Any employee saddled with a lousy $46 million contract -- that he signed just last year while pocketing an $8.5 million signing bonus -- knows just what you're talking about.

Haha. When refering to Terrell Owens the word underpaid should never be used. What a joke!

T.O.'s agent should not have strapped TO into such a long term deal if it wasn't favorable.

Who thinks the injury last year is a bit more bothersome than TO is letting on? Maybe he knows he won't be eligible for those later year payments due to injury.

I still think the Mcnabb comment will hurt the most. He isnt going to get a new contract under any circumstances, and he is not going to sit up the season. However, If the get back to the super bowl(LOL) then him and Mcnabb get asked about it 100,000,000 times. Can you say disharmony

Is he willing to give back a pro rated portion of his big ass signing bounus from last year in order to get a new deal?? His salary may be low, but he still is going to recieve $14 million in the 1st 2 years of the deal, that doesnt sound nearly as underpaid as they make him out to be....

here is an update, the owner of the Eagles said in no circumstances will TO have a new contract

    http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8462693

i find it so sad though that last year his agent said this is a good deal for u and he said ok and then this year he signed another guy who told him hes underpaid and he went on a rampage hes an idiot. I'm glad the Eagles are doing what they are doing. TO is a crybaby and him being underpaid thats a joke i'm getting underpaid damnit. lol

Mcnabb said that eagles dont need TO. They can choke just fine without him.

Mcnabb isnt standing up to anyone. Lurie is the one standing up to someone. Mcnabb was going to be a part of it, he saw lurie down the hall, but he was too tired to hurry up and talk to him about it.

God BF1, I dont know if anyone told you this before...you sound like a broken record. Ok, you think mcNabb choked, we dont need to hear about that 10000000000 times. Do you hear me talking about the Bears when they got destroyed by the Eagles (at home) in 2001 playoffs after 13-3 season. Choke on that...

Yeah, I guess it must really be getting to you. I would not repeat something if everyone agreed with me. You said he didnt choke, it is still a debateable topic. Finally it is not like i just keep saying the exact thing like a broken record, i come up with new jokes for everyones entertainment about him choking. Yes the loss to Eagles bothered me, but i was consoled by the fact they finished tied with the Bears as "NOT THE CHAMPS"

You know, the longer I visit these forums, the more I start to think that most of you (especially BF) have not been any closer to playing an actual football game besides their franchises in Madden

If you are seriously asking.....In high school, I was the possession receiver. Think Tom Waddle from the Bears if you remember him. Awesome hands, very small, very slow. Throw it to me, I'll catch anything close, and then get pummelled. Can't say that I was ever caught from behind, but I'm not sure I was ever in the lead.

I was going to joke "What? Madden doesn't count?" but I figured you might think I was serious. I coach grade school kids now (football, soccer, wrestling).

And...for what its worth.....I'm not going to worry about what TO does or does not want. Whether you're a Eagles fan or a Cowboys fan, you knew the guy was going to flap his lip sometime...that's no surprise. He just got a little push from his agent too. If I was an Eagles fan, I wouldn't worry until he starts missing mandatory camp things. Then he's fair game to jump on. As for the contract, if the Eagles are dumb enough to renegotiate, then he's smart enough to ask. You don't get if you don't ask. But now that the Eagles have more or less said 'No way', he needs to get on the field and play his heart out again like last year.
