anyway the all star game is first and foremost a popularity contest. since tmac has now legions of rocket fans to add on to his former magic fans, obviously he is going to get a high number of votes
No surprise here really. Kobe lost a lot of fans because he couldn't keep his pants on. Tmac gained a lot of fans when he went to Houston. Tmac's fans almost doubled, Kobe lost a lot...there is your answer.

Easier said than done, that said most smart NBA players would be smart enough to pick girls that are older than 18-19. I'm sure Kobe knows for next time. As for the topic, who cares who gets the most votes. The players that deserve to be there will be selected. I could seriously care less about the fans votes and opinions, It's who the coaches select is what's important.
Can someone get a link of the votings so far because i only found one from December,17 which shows T-mac has 680,000 votes and Kobe has 673,000 votes so not a big difference there. A link would be appreciated Thanks.

T-Mac aint doing nothing this year. But I think ever since the Rape trial fans have lost there love for Kobe.
Actually I wouldnt Compare those 2 , cause Kobe is in the same position as Allen Iverson , Kobe may make more points , but Mcgrady has a partner on the court (Yao) i dont think its good to compare points bet ween them two.
How can kobe be trailing McGrady in the all-star ballots!! He is the better player. I am so angry about this. They should put the best players as starters in the all-star game. Since when is Kobe better than T-mac, Is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar better than Wilt Chamberlain, no. Plus T-Mac has scored 32.1 ppg and kobe never got close so i would have to say T-mac is the better player here

Oh God, another Kobe vs. McGrady thread.. MOST of Yao's votes come in the U.S., not in China like most people want to believe. Most of Shaq's votes come online, Yao's from the Arena balloting. Most of McGrady's votes are coming from the Arena balloting as well, it seems everyone wants Yao and McGrady together in the All-Star game. Kobe is a better player, but Kobe doesn't have Yao, and Kobe doesn't have Jeff Van Gundy (that speaks for itself.) Just my 2 cents.
How bout everyone here mass vote for Kobe and not McGrady every single day vote for KOBE!!! that way Kobe will catch up... we need some justice to be done here
