This man is truly an up and coming star. He just got his first triple double in his career aganist the Pistons. He ended up with 31 points, 10 assists, and ten rebounds.

This is also only the 5th triple double in the Heat's almost 2 decades of existence.

    1st of many to come!!!

He's gotten so close in the past. Nice to see him get it against Detroit in a Nationally Televised game.

HE IS OFFICIALLY A SUPER STAR [IMG]

He's going to keep getting better and better. This is definately not his last triple-double.

    13 straight wins

This certainly helps my fantasy team, thats for sure. Wade is really starting to become a superstar in this league. It also helps that he has team-mates who fit his style.

The thing we can't neglect is that he was 12-18 from the field too, Hinrich was the first of the 2003 rookie bunch, and Wade is now the second, Lebron and Wade had come close many times before, and I expect Lebron to have on soon.

Great game by Wade though, he played exactly how oyu should against the Pistons, keep on attacking and going to the basket and never settle for the long jumper, kinda like he always plays.

LeBron got his face broken and Wade got a triple double all within 24 hours.

Yup, you Miami fan are lucky. First Wade, now Shaq. This kid is really something special. Love watching him.

Gee, that's two players in Lebron's class that's had triple doubles before him (Hinirch had one last year). That's not meant to be a dis on Bron, I am amazed by him like everyone else, but i thought Lebron would have a couple by now, is he wants to average a tripe double for the season.... he's been close too though, many times. And 25, 7, 7, is not a bad performance for someone who just turned 20!

    nice stuff .........nice stufff................

Doesn't it seem kind of weird how most games on TNT have something wierd on them. Like as that T-MAc performance against the Spurs and now Wade triple double.. Hmmmmm

I am very surprised to see him get one before LeBron. MAybe it jsut shows you that Wade is the more complete player. Wade will be a susperstar as long as the Heat roster remains similar to what it is now.

I think Wade is a SuperStar on any roster. Obviously he fits great into this system, but I think he can thrive being the lone star as well.

I don't know about him being the more completel player, could be, but I see him as more experienced or more aggressive, I think. With LBJ, Gooden seems to eat up the boards. He's had numerous chances at triple doubles already but was off a board or two.

Another thing to consider is that since Shaq dominates the middle, most teams will settle for jumpers instead of driving it in, leaving for longer rebounds. This gives him more opportunities for rebounds at the guard positions.

Not to take anything away from Wade or anything. He's an amazing player. He said in an interview after the game that he didn't even know that he racked up a triple double. In the heat of the game, these things just come to talented players. It also helps that some members of the local media corrected the stat keepers to reward Wade with another rebound that they missed. [IMG]

One thing to think about is that Shaq tapped out the ball to Wade for his last rebound. Did Shaq know that Wade was a rebound off of a triple double and tapped it out to help him get that last board? Iono, just some idle speculation.

I was watching the game and saw him tip it off the glass on that one play and didn't think that was a rebound. I was thinking "Well he missed his chance." The n Marv Albert comes on and syas the Heat scorekeepers announced that it counted as a rebound. I didn't think if you tipped the ball it counted... oh well good job Wade.

Lebron always get's close but will be a rebounds or two shy, or an assists or 2 shy, or sometimes he'll be one rebound and one assists shy.

Wade... budding superstar... superstar in the making. Put it any way you want, he can flat out play the game of basketball...

He knows the fundamentals, he can get to the line AT WILL. I mean the only thing that is really wrong with him is his 3 point shot. Wade is matured beyond his years on and off the court. He is amazing.
