Why in the world would New Jersey want Milicic?
Have you watched Milicic play? He's horrible, or at least he was every single time I saw him. He looks lost on the court, and looks somewhat intimidated. It's almost as if he's Fredick Weis in the USA. I haven't seen much of him, but from what I have seen, he doesn't look like the kind of player that Frank would utilize. He's not lightning quick, nor does he have a real beastly figure. It will be years before he's capable of playing more than 15 minutes in the league before he looks worn out or scared, and I don't know that Kidd, Jefferson, and Carter would be willing to wait that long.

Either way, if you want to make the argument that he would be a long term investment, fine. Go ahead, take him to Brooklyn in 8 or 9 years. We'll see how popular a somewhat frightened European player would be in Brooklyn. [IMG]

Come on now, where is your sense of humor [IMG] , I was just poking fun at how short-handed the Nets are witht thier front court right now.

Darko is mentally defeated. He is trying to learn to play a style of play that is unnatural and foreign to him. He has come to understand that LB will not play him again this year and so he cannot muster up the energy he needs to play with to win over LB. He needs LB to offer some sort of olive branch and give him hope of being able to earn some consistent playing time. Until that happens we will continue to see a bored and disinterested Darko struggle on the court.

I firmly believe that LB would have played Tay over Carmelo because of Tay's versatility. Corliss was already providing a offensive spark as Tay's back up and I don't think Carmelo would have gave this team anything more then what Corliss gave us. We needed help inside and another low post threat because Elden turned out to be a bust of a pick up. This is why I don't understand it when people say we wouldn't have gotten Rasheed if we had Carmelo? Elden would still have been a bust and we would have needed another big man. LB always pressures GM's to tinker with the roster and a guy with Rasheed's talent and contract situation would have been hard to pass on. Especially when you give up so little to get him.
