Quoting Air Pietrus:

this offseason dude. Alothugh that was a bad idea
The thread states this offseason OR recent trades this season, so the VC deal still counts.
Utah Not matching the offer to Mo Williams, and as of now giving Carlos Arroyo a contract like they did. Mo Williams is playing great in Milwaukee, and Utah could really use him at the PG spot right now. He has a good future and his offer (which Utah had the money to match), wasn't big at all. He has proven he is more than worth it for Milwaukee, and he'd be getting minutes in Utah aswell. Carlos Arroyo has worked his way into Jerry Sloan's doghouse, and is bringing the team down when he's on court. The Jazz just lack direction, and struggle to score. He was given a 4 year deal, and so far has done almost nothing to show he was worth it. At the time of signing it seemed like a good move, but something happened to Carlos .
Don't worry, Arroyo will be OK. Two new starters and no AK-47 is a lethal combination for a second year NBA point. Back to the topic, my Pacers sat on their BUTTS this off season. I really thought we could've gotten more for Al Harrington, but the one move that was a mistake was holding on to Ron Artest. And no, I'm NOT second guessing - we could've gotten McGrady. Orlando inquired and Donnie Walsh said "NO". Peace
For the Rockets- trading Jim Jackson and Bostjan Nachbar for David Wesley. They basically just traded a vocal leader of the team and a nice player with potential for an aging guard. Wesley brings nothing new to the team that Jackson and Nachbar didn't. Plus, they traded two players for this guy, who is basically worthless to the team. For the Sixers- trading Eric Snow. Sure, he would not have fit into Jim O'brien's system, but isn't the coach supposed to adapt the players, not the other way around? He was a great leader for the team and yet we traded him for two scrubs that bring nothing to our team. Hopefully, Billy King has something up his sleeves that will ease the pain.
LOL, whenever I see Billy King's name the phrase "something up his sleeves" is always next to his name.
Nets- Not giving Kenyon Martin a max contract. Basically taking away any shot of them being a factor in the playoffs. That's if they even get there.
Raptors - Not putting Jalen Rose on the bench ealier, and not whipping Araujo into being able to play earlier, both those things would have us with more wins than we currently have. The Clippers don't make mistakes, and neither do the Wizards
The Kings only mistake they have made, and they do this every single year is not signing or really drafting any key defense players.i don't even get wh GM Bobby Petrie and the Owners of the Kings the Maloof brothers aren't doing this, but without any good solid Defensive players, the Kings will always not make it to the finals.

Quoting dee still ballin:

Mavericks - as much as I hate to admit, not resigning Nash. Oh well we are still doing well.
If we still have Nash, Dirk doesnt have his best year as a pro. We have no D at the Point, or athletisism again, and probably no center again. I think for the Mavericks it's trading Danny Fortson for somebody else that's not Danny Fortson.

I agree with you on Arroyo though...we gave him the 16 million dollar deal and we were expecting him to come through for us. He has not. Also, I regret is the Jazz not resigning Greg Ostertag!
I'd say not giving our role players enough minutes. We worked so hard at resigning Hoiberg and Hassell and we give them close to none minutes. Well, Hassell is finally getting them now as a starter. Right now, we are with a lineup change because of how bad we've been, but it is paying off with 2 wins on the road. It's surprising, 2 on the road, because of how bad of a road team we are this season, when last season, we were one of the best. A problem was a lot of problems off the court. Spree and Cassell complaining about contracts and Spree going public about it. Olowakandi was arrested and Hudson was complaining about minutes. Yet, when Hudson was given minutes, he didn't perform. Now he is coming off of the bench with I think is a lot better for this team. Another problem, not having a win attitude. Cassell and Sprewell think that since they proved themselves last year that they don't have to play good this season. We had a legitiment shot at the title, and we still do if we can play like we want to win. It seems like all of the burden is on KG's back. He seems like the only one who wants to win. Spree has stepped it up in the last 2 games, and he better keep it up, or I go back to the feeling of wanting his selfish but out of here.
Nets Trading Kerry Kittles for a 2nd Round Pick: Come on, we got NOTHING from this trade except from cutting some salary. But Kerry was our only three point option, and would be a great 6th man and shooter off the bench right now. Waiving Lucious Harris: Well, after Kittles left, he's our last decent three point shooter other than Kidd. Waived to cut cost. This was a stupid move that's very underrated. Trading away Khryapa for Gill and cash: This was a boneheaded move for a team that's supposed to be looking at the future. Eddie Gill was later waived, which didn't help. Khryapa could be a great bench player, and with Mercer injured, he could be a big help right now. Trading K-Mart for three first rounders: Sure, these would be great first round picks(we traded 2 of em in the Carter trade), but come on. Martin's aggresivness on the boards and emotion is what kept our inside alive. He's a beast, no doubt. Another cost cutting move. Well, if I had to pick between K-Mart and Carter, I'd take Martin. He's a lot more aggresive than Vince, and even though he doesn't score as well, he's a great defender.
This year the Warriors dealt Erick Dampier-double/double avg, starting C for Ed Najara,a good role player. Having dealt A Jamison for Van Exel-dealt him for the fading fast Dale Davis. Still, It is the Warriors and we did not trade away Wilt Chamberlain or Bernard King this year-it's the difference between a butt kicking and a chainsaw massacre and so we are like cub fans who hope for a chance to hope. The Warriors hope to get away from having the cap screw them over. Signing Fisher was curious as they are locked in on a guy who is good but not a cornerstone. That losing him hurts the Lakers may be the real upside
I know you said this season, but this one is too horrible to pass on, last season when Detroit picked Darko over Carmello/Wade in the draft, and they give him hardly any minutes what so ever. Also this season when we traded Croliss for those 2 hacks Amil MacGiskall & Derrick Coleman, then we fired both and traded one of the best player off the bench in the league away, but I know why Joe did it so I guess its kool, i'd rather have Tayshaun & Ben around for longer.
