There are exceptions to this of course, but mainly this group hasnt been able play together yet. Trading away a player that already knows the system and bring in another would set the rockets back even more. If the trades that people want occur this is whats going to happen.

To get a quality PF and or PG we would have to give up a PF, PG, or SF. That would leave a hole in 3 positions. How do we fill that up? Midway through the season and trying to fight for position in the west you cant trade away players that already know the system. The learning curve is just too steep, trades now would ultimately set the rockets back.

True, but the Jim Jackson and Tyronn Lue trades seem to be helping us. We're on a two-game winning streak with Wesley. Overall, we're 3-1 with Barry and 2-0 with Wesley. These guys didn't know our system, yet they're playing fantastic basketball and playing major minutes rihgt away. That leads me to the opinion that as long as we bring in defensive-minded players, they will be able to fit in, at least find it easier to fit in. Defense is a common factor here with Van Gundy and defensive players.

Sure, but David Wesley hasn't been doing much for us offensively. In fact, he had a 3-11 shooting night against the Bucks last night. He was worth Jim Jackson and Bostjan Nachbar? On the other hand, I know he needs to adjust and learn the system better so his stats should improve. However, Jon Barry actually has improved us I think. I mean, we traded Tyronn Lue, someone that could never fit into our system and team, for him. He's knocking down open shots, which is what really should be done to put pressure on double teams. I don't think making a trade would kill us that much. The team chemistry is already in disarray with all these trades going down, so one more won't really hurt.

Yes we're 3-1 since the Barry trade but lets not kid ourselves...these are wins against the Clippers, the Cavs (without LeBron for most of the game) and Milwaukee...not exactly stellar, top-notch competition...

I just wanted to say, a win is a win. I tottaly agree but maybe we are underestimating the Rockets. The Bucks are a good team without a doubt. If we come to play, we can beat any team.
