Shareef Abdur-Rahim who has became a SF this year is averaging 15 ppg, we don't know for sure if he will start or Darius Miles will after Abdur-Rahim sufferd an injury. <div align="center">________________________________________</div> <u><font color="Orange"><div align="center">Phoenix Suns Lineup & Coach</div></font></u> <div align="center"></div> <div align="center">(Mike D'Antoni)</div> <div align="center">_____________________________</div> <div align="center"></div> <div align="center"><font color="Orange">Steve Nash:</font>15.9 ppg, 10.9 apg, 3.3 rpg <font color="Orange">Joe Johnson:</font>15 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.2 apg <font color="Orange">Quentin Richardson:</font>15.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.9 apg <font color="Orange">Shawn Marion:</font>19.3 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.3 apg <font color="Orange">Amare Stoudemire:</font>25.6 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1.4 apg</div> <div align="center">_________________________________</div> CourtKing's Word: Amare really needs to start useing his size and athledic ability to box out and get rebounds, he droped 37 on Tim Duncan but followed it up with 6 boards. He has to box out Zach Randolph and don't let him get those second chance buckets, especailly late in the game. Steve Nash is expected to have another double-double against a not so great Portland point guard group. Quentin Richardson, coming off his record breaking performance against the Hornets should have another good game. Shawn Marion, who had a terrible game against the Hornets, only 9 points, should bounce back with another double-double. <div align="center">_________________________________</div> <u><div align="center">Player of the Game</div></u> <div align="center"></div> <div align="center">(Steve Nash)</div> <div align="center">Predicted Stats: 21 points, 7-12 FG, 14 assits, 3 boards </div> Nash should have a good game, like I said against a not so great Portland point guard core. I'll expect him to get his teammates involved as well as score himself. As he gets my player of the game. <div align="center">____________________________</div> <u><div align="center">Prediction Time</div></u> The Blazers should jump out to an early lead and catch the Suns by surprise, who haven't played in 4 days. Lead by Derek Anderson, the Blazers take a 4 point lead at the end of the first. The Suns bounce back though, going on a 10-2 run to close out the second and the Suns lead by 4 at the half. The Blazers keep fighting in the third though, with no signs of giving up, the Blazers re-gain the lead as they start the fourth, 84-83. Suns answer though, lead behind their point guard Steve Nash they run the Blazers till they can't run no more and take a 5 point lead with 2 minutes to go. The Blazers never would gain the lead again as the Suns beat the Blazers. Blazers - 97 Suns - 102
What a masterful performance by Amare. The game isn't over yet, 2:16 left...106-93 Suns. Amare with 46 points right now and he has atleast 13, 14 dunks. Just amazing. Too many sick dunks. --- EDIT: He has 50! He hit 2 FT's to give him 48, then they had a 3-1 fastbreak, but Marion scored instead of Amare. But finally at the fans kept cheering, and then they ran a play for Amare, and he hit turn around fallaway jay, to give him 50. Incredible atmosphere and incredible performance from Amare. Just the 5th time it's been done in Suns history, first time since Tony Delk did it in 2001. GO AMARE! :dancepart
Sick! I wish I caught the whole game. I saw the last 5 minutes or so and saw Amare put some nice dunks down on his way to a 50 point game! I think I have a new favorite team .
ya what a performance, 50 points. He put on quite a show, and he seems to be unstoppable and he's still young so who knows what he'll do in the future.
wow he beat his career high by 12 points and his new career high is 50 points pretty good for a team coming off 28-54 thats really good, Suns for Champions!
Amare exposed the weak Blazer interior defense which featured Zach Randolph playing center in place of the injured Theo Ratliff, he had 10 dunks in the game, shot 20-27, and went to the line 17 times hitting 10. I was watching the game, and he had many real nice plays, and was just killing them, that's what happens when Randolph plays center . He was dunking, hitting the mid-range J, everything. If he had made more free throws he couldn've gotten 53 or 54 or so.
Amare dominated today over a defensively challenged Portland frontline. Hopefully he continues to grow and learn as a player as fast as he has thus far.
Standing Tall And Talented Thats what is was all about last night, Amare having a new career high with his first 50 point game of his career, I can definaly see more to come. It's a game to remember by Amare. Not only did he drop 50 a new career high but he answer some of our rebounding questions for this game as he pulled down 11. As for some other stats, Nash had double-ditit assits AGAIN, QRich had 20, and Matrix and JJ both finished with 15. Makes me wonder if Amare would have shot better from the line how much he would have had.
