The Dolphins are talking with Seattle and Indianapolis to trade NEXT YEAR's 1st round pick for Edge or Alexander. Think about this...we get Shaun or Edge. Then we make that stupid trade (for Tampa) with Tampa and get a #5 overall, 2nd round, 3rd round...then we trade Surtain to KC for a 2nd rounder. We draft Mike Williams or Braylon with our #5 pick...in the 2nd round we take David Baas AND either Frye/Campbell/McPherson/Orton. So we have a darn good RB, a darn good WR (besides Chambers), and a good QB to groom, possible a Franchise QB. Also, we have our new offensive line coach and David Baas, possibly Chris Spencer or Elton Brown in the 3rd round. I call THAT a super bowl team...maybe im just fantasizing, but it could happen. No matter what happens, we should trade Surtain for SOMETHING...either a 2nd rounder, or trade him for Edge/Shaun because Will Poole could be just as good. Take the news for what its worth, but their are speculations that we could trade our 1st next year for Edge or Shaun. I dont see many good prospects next year, so id do it.
Saban IMO will NOT trade a #1 next yr. Forget Edge or Alexander. Ronnie Brown will be better. I like the trade w/ Tampa. Brown may still be there. Forget Baas, Chris Spencer (C Ole Miss) is currently the highest rated at his position. Hopefully, if Nick gets a high 2nd rounder, Spencer will still be on the board.
No way Elton Brown is available in the 3rd, hes a 1st round talent at a position that rarely produces 1st rounders....I agree that if they trade the pick to TB, they will still get a fantastic player at #5, and I suspect that player may be Alex Barron....
i was watching an NFL Draft special on ESPN, and one of the guys said that he thinks Jamal Brown (OT) is better than Alex Barron. But didnt Saban promise McIntosh he wont draft an LT??? i hope thats false news, because id love a good LT
If the Dolphins add Alex Barron to that O-line, it becomes the best young line in the league....they have so much raw talent there now, but they lack the young LT prospect to bring it all together....I do think he promised him that, at least thats what I read, but he will take the best player, Im sur McIntosh nows that....
No way that Miami takes an OLT w/ the #5 overall. If they were to trade w/ Minn for both of their picks than takes Khalif Barnes @ 18 right before the Rams do.
