After he was drafted and cruelly cut by the Supes, I thought I'd put up a thread in Dave's honour for all the fams called Iron Shiek around here. D-Youngy is currently playing for the Fayettville Patriots, who are the 'glamour club' of the NBDL. In 31.3 minutes per game, he is averaging a team leading 15.9 ppg, and has already had a 35 point mega explosion. http://www.nba.com/nbdl/fayetteville/stats/index.html The team is sitting at 2-13, but it isn't DY Young winner's fault, as they would be 0-15 without him.
Good looking, fam. I still talk to Dave often and he was doing exceptionally well before they brought in Mike King (formerly of George Washington). He was averaging over 20 a game up until the last couple of weeks. I guess people can hit the rookie wall even in the D-League. Considering the turnover in the league I'm sure that he'll get another opportunity in someone else's summer league next year. Hopefully he won't come across a Bob Weiss character who will relegate him to Flip minutes. I think that I put that my journeyman articles put a curse on all of my highlighted players. Flip, Arroyo, Mike Hall, and J. R. Holden are all not performing up to my expectations. I don't want to curse Dave so I'm going to leave him out of any future articles that I may write. I don't want to be the only one to reply to this forum. Show my man Dave some love.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Iron Shiek:</div><div class="quote_post">Arroyo</div> Going off topic for a second, I've got to express my disappointment regarding Carlos. After his breakout season in 2003/04 and his electrifying performances for Puerto Rico in the Olympics, I thought he was set for a huge season, to the point where I traded Finley to get him in my fantasy league (although Finley's injury troubles have softened the blow from that trade somewhat), and Carlos is now well and truly in Sloan's doghouse, not even getting off the bench.
