This one was ugly in the first half. Thankfully the C's woke up and didn't let this one slip away. Home Sweet Home Watch SportsCenter tomorrow. I guarantee at least 1 of Tony Allen's 2 monster dunks in the 4th will be on it.
Everyone in white came out blah to start this one. I don't think it was so much playing down to the Hornets as much as playing tight. First off, they were tentative until they could see how Banks was going to perform and second, no one wants to lose to the team thats 2-26. Its like they were trying for the blowout and when they couldn't jump out to a 25 point lead they played even tighter. Big props to Waltah tonight, cause he came in with instant energy and helped the C's on that big third quarter run. Here was the thing: this was the first time I've gotten an extended look at BD (as you can imagine, Hornets are not big on my LP rotation) and he is just isn't back to form yet. It would have made a lot more sense to have Banks press the issue and blow past him, but he was looking to pass almost to much. He's not Gary Payton and the coaching staff shouldn't force him to try to be.
Great game to regain confidence. The 2nd half of the game looked like the Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals. Walta proved that he actually has some value to his doubters. They needed a game like this after that recent tough stretch, a lot of "emotional touches" that Doc loves so much.
great game to go to. In the third my buddys like "Pierce is flirting with a trip dub" and I was like "no way". Tony Allen's two sick plays were worth the prce of admition. this guy NEEEDS to get 35 minutes a game. He puts in at least one dazzling play per minute
