I just read at sportingnews.com that Jerry West had been in talks with the hornets about getting davis for jason williams and shane battier, among other players. The deal has since then fell through because the grizz are not willing to depart with shane. What do you think on the situation???
i dont think this move would help both teams. pluses are the griz would have a go to guy. the hornets would have a unijury prone point gaurd. negatives are many to me. I dont think baron fits the grizzles game plan. unless the Griz are going to revamp there game plan for baron, i dont really see how baron could benefit there team. Jason williams and Shane could give the hornets a fresh start. but the negatives of the hornets team as of late are unfixable at this point for me.
That trade will both help Baron and Memphis even though we are playing good as is We could use a strong point gaurd that has alot of options. And on any given night a player can get injured so it really isnt about being injury prone.
This trade isn't going to happen according to Jerry West. He's not trading Shane Battier (good move). However, he's still in talks with them about other possibilities.
With Battier's play of late you could almost say his stock is rising extremely high... I belive last night against the hornets he ended with 19 pts. 10 rebs. and 5 blks something along those lines... If the grizz are looking to unload some folks look no futher then Posey and Miller. I think posey would have a little more value because he is an all around better player imo then miller. Anyways the sooner we can unload J- Will the sooner I will be happy!!! I can't stand him.. Baron would be a major upgrade to williams at the PG position. The grizz should add more in on a trade if they plan on getting him I wouldnt mind trying to snag an extra player such as david west or j.r. smith from them...
