Hey guys, i'm looking for people that know a lot about NBA Sports Writers.

I just have a few questions like,

How much does a NBA Sports Writer usually make?
What must he do in College for the job?

And also, whatever you can tell me about Sports Writers please tell me.

How much you make as a Sports Writer all depends on what market you work in. I would say it can range from $30,000/year to over a million/year. Sports Writers usually have a degree is Journalism, but most media outlets care more about your actual writing than what degree you may have, or where you got it from.

Yeah, Journalism is what I thought... what would a NBA sportswriter probably make? Like, hired by the NBA itself.

I would have to say less than you think. I assume you're talking about the writers who cover teams for the team's own official website. The problem with that is it's not a subscription service. People aren't paying for access to your articles.

Well, I would assume that writing for SI is rather lucrative. It's also one of the most sought after jobs in the entire field. You really have to pay your dues to get to that level. My guess is if that is the career you choose, it would take at least 20 years to even be considered for SI.

Like any other job, you have to start small and work your way up.
