Who said Ray is god? He had a bad night shooting, it happens. The past two games he was magnificent. The Sonics will now face probably the biggest game of the season when they face the Heat, trying to rebound from 2 losses where they were basically got their asses handed to them back to back.

Despite the loss, I must say I'm becoming more and more pleased with Luke Ridnour's play. He is becoming more confident and making some great passes.

^You're right, noone said Ray is god. I guess its just a lot of people at my high school who think that. And noone is flaming me, wow i'm surprised. Maybe I just need to wait longer... or maybe... this is just one of the cleanest team forums.

"Who said Kobe is god? He had a bad shooting night, it happens." I don't know why people don't understand this.

If you ask me, the Sonics should win the Heat. Ray Allen should be looking for a better game than tonights.

Seattle needs to adopt the Jerry Sloan philosophy of coaching. You play w/ the players that you have.

No one give me this bs about we're losing b/c Reggie Evans wasn't playing. Injuries/illness happen. You don't look for excuses to why you are losing, you figure out ways to fix the mistakes that you make. People are game planning very hard for the Sonics now and it's time to see whether or not Nate can make adjustments to continue to improve our play.

We are a good team, but we are still a fragile team. No one on this team has experience any long term success in terms of winning w/ the exception of Antonio Daniels when he was Tim Duncan's ball boy. I'm not sure that the Sonics truly believe that they are amongst the NBA elite. I honestly think that most of our guys are really patting themselves on the back for what they have accomplished so far.

I'm a pessimist by nature. I think that the Sonics will not get home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs b/c issues pertaining to contracts are going to start arising. I can sense that guys are feeling uneasy about their roles on the team (see Antonio Daniels/Jerome James) and this type of negativity can definitely factor in to play on the court.

On a side note, that second quarter was some of the most exciting ball I've seen in a while. There is nothing that I respect more than perseverance. Keep pluggin' away, fam. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Last game of a 5 game road trip, 2nd of a back to back. I think the Sonics can be excused for this loss. But they need to bounce back against the Heat on Sunday.

He did fine in this one. Hopelessly outmatched defensively against Arenas (most point guards are to be fair). but still two points and three rebounds off a triple double, and another double digit assist game.

It's all a learning process, but he really is making some strides when you consider it's only his second season, and he only played sparingly in 03/04, fam.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Casual:</div><div class="quote_post">Ray played like Kobe tonight, he couldn't hit **** so he kept taking and taking and taking shots. I couldn understand that if they were open shots but don't force it like that. I groaned when Nate put Ray back in halfway through the fourth quarter. I would have rather seen Flip at least try to go to the basket than Ray trying to earn a paycheck.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">WASHINGTON -- A contract extension for Ray Allen has been under discussion for more than six months.

Yesterday, he admitted that the issue had begun to weigh on his mind the final three days of this road trip when his agent, Lon Babby, met with Sonics general manager Rick Sund, first in Orlando and yesterday in Washington.

Allen was asked repeatedly by reporters about the status of discussions over the past two days.

"Everybody who asked a question, asked something about my contract," Allen said. "It's hard to ignore that fact going into the game. I wasn't thinking about it when I was playing, but sitting here talking about it, it weighs on you a little bit.

"That's why you'd like to get your business taken care of in advance."</div>
