Afterall, The Hawks recently placed Guard Tony Delk on the injuried reserved, Delk was averaging 11 points per contest and was perhaps Atlanta's most productive backcourt player. Mike Bibby will likely be defending be a less than stellar defensive backcourt in Tyronn Lue and Kenny Anderson playing the point off the bench. Bibby is coming off a season high 32 points in Toronto on Wednesday night, if he's expected to repeat such a performance, his matchup Friday evening is favorable to the cause. Antoine Walker has flown under the radar thus far this season, however his statistics have not suffered. Infact, Walker is leading his team in Points Per Game (20.4) and Rebounds (9.2) but his team continues to struggle as they boast only 5 wins, 30 games into the season. Walker will likely become the defensive responsibility of one Chris Webber, and given Webber's current state as he recovers from injuries, expect Walker to challenge him on a consistent basis. Walker ability to play from the inside or take opponents to the perimeter will serve him wonders against a demobilized Chris Webber. Expect Walker to get his numbers as he attempts to carry his team to a BIG win at home. KjX3's PREDICTION - Defense from the front court will be crucial. Atlanta's starting Fowards, Walker and Harrington, and posting an impressive combined average of 37.5 Points Per Game. Both are very agile, and can play multiple styles on the court, whether it be off the dribble or from the post. Webber and Peja are likely to draw the task of defending the aforementioned players, and they're certainly far from ALL DEFENSIVE players. However, if Sacramento can play solid team defense and limit post up situations for Harrington or pick and roll and isolation situations on Webber, Sacramento may be able to slightly contain Atlanta's offensive barrage. - Mike Bibby is likely to carry the load offensively, I look for Bibby to have a solid night as his defenders are lackluster at best. Certainly he's capable of surpassing Atlanta's entire backcourt production on his lonesome. - Brad Miller is also likely to have a nice night, likely to be defended by Jason Collier who's averaging only 2.9 rebounds a game, Miller should be capable of posting a big performance on the glass for Sacramento. - Sacramento (109) defeats Atlanta (92)
There's nothing much really to say here about this game,as the Kings are looking for a win since we lost that close game to the Raptors the other night, and Sacramento is looking for a win,and seeing the way the Hawks have been playing lately, there's no doubt that the Kings will get the win today. The Kings will win this game by a decent margin. Our Oefense i think will be a bit much for Alanta to deal with, and our Defense should have an easy game tonight,so expect a great game tonight for the Kings! Kings 103 Hawks 87
I think that the Kings should crush the Hawks. Atlanta is the worst team in the NBA bar none. Kings by 15
Nice preview. The Kings should win this one easily. As long as they play their average game, the Kings should win this by 10+.
Called it, big night for Mike Bibby against Atlanta's weak defensive backcourt, and Walker would be capable of putting up his average against Webber's defense. However even I didn't expect the final score to be this close...
I'll Give credit where credit is due.Alanta played better than i thought they would against the Kings.Alanta played great last night, but the Kings came out on top at the end,to a 3 point win. Bibby was just phomenial last night.31 points, but that jumper he made in the last seconds of the game was a stroke of genius there.LOL...Webber had a great night also. We won,but i think the Kings should have domninated more of the game against Alanta.oh well,we got the win,and that's what counts.
