Key Matchup

[IMG] [IMG]
Vince Carter and Jason Richardson are two players mostly known for their dunking. They are the key match-up in this game because both of these players have the ability to break open a game with their strong offensive games. Both of these players have won the Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk Contest and look to battle it out in this game. Watch for these two stars to lead their team and be the reasons for there team's performance. Here is how their stats match-up.

SEASON STATISTICS
Vince Carter- 17.5 PPG 3.9 RPG 3.2 APG 41.2 MPG
Jason Richardson- 20.8 PPG 6.3 RPG 3.4 APG 37.3 MPG

My Prediction
This should be an awesome game between two of the best dunkers in the NBA. The Nets need to contain Troy Murphy and Clifford Robinson because these two are capable of putting up good numbers. I think the Nets will win this game because Richard Jefferson, Vince Carter, and Jason Kidd will play great and lead us to victory. I think Carter will score 26 points and Kidd will have 8 assists. I think the Nets will win this game 94-87.

Your stats are wrong. Vince is not averaging 41.2 MPG, he's averaging 32.7. Also your other stars are off by .1, becauee he's getting 3.8 RPG, 3.1 APG and 17.4 PPG.

Last I've seen, both Richardson and Pietrus are not scheduled to play, although that could be a distractionary tactic.

My key matchup for this game is Kidd and Speedy. Neither one of these guys can defend each other and both offenses should rely heavily on them. With the Net's lack of interior defense, Speedy needs to get to the rim.

This would be a good game to get Zarko involved (if he is ready) because he could get away with playing some 4. Same goes for Biedrins.

Cabarkapa getting some minutes in the first half. Had a nice agressive dunk, and got fouled. Looks like he has huge hands, and easily palm the ball. The Warriors have tried to get the ball in his hands, even had him dribbling the ball up the court - and picked up a foul. He's also shown some effort on defense.

Btw, watching Krstic missing just about every screen he's attempted just reminds me of what a lost art that has become. One of the most under-rated aspects of a big man...obviously because the "experts" don't watch many games and can't read it in a stat line.

Godamn Fisher's shot selection is so horrible, he tries to do way to much and usually ends up messing up the whole possession by making a stupid pass or taking a bad shot when other guys are wide open..I cant stand him, without a doubt our worst offseason move

Cabarkapa finished with 4 points (1-4 fg, 2-3 ft), 6 rebounds and 2 turnovers in 16 minutes. At times he played aggressive on offense, not only with the impressive one-handed dunk but in going after rebounds, as well. He missed a couple buckets close to the rim, but if he continues to put himself in tht kind of position the put backs and tip ins should start to fall.

He didn't look like a player that lacked confidence in his game - which was the main question mark I continued to read about from the people who watched him in Phoenix. Perhaps a change of team and significant increase in minutes is just what he needed.

This was only one game, and if there's anything I've learned from the NBA draft coverage over the years it's that you can't even form a decent scouting report on a player from just one game - but he didn't look like a defensive liability out on the floor. He moved, showed on the screens, tried to get in some passing lanes. He is more suited to the three, but against smaller line-ups I don't see why he can't play the four.
