Officials: #25 Tony Brothers, #15 Bennett Salvatore, #58 Zach Zarba -------------------------------------- PLAYERS TO WATCH PEJA STOJAKOVIC & BARON DAVIS</div> Peja Stojakovic has had great success against The New Orleans Hornets in the first two meetings thus far these season. Peja has averaged 20.5 points over those two games, including a 37.5 3PT% and shooting 50% from the Field in their last meeting. Infact, Peja's Scoring is tops amongst Sacramento teammates against New Orleans and has aided The Kings towards the first two victories in their three game regular season series against The Hornets. Look for Stojakovic to post big numbers, along with some impressive shooting from the perimeter as The Hornets are 26th in the league in opponents 3pt Field Goal Percentage, Peja's speciality! Baron Davis makes his season debut against The Sacramento Kings as he was previously absent in their last two meetings doto injury. However, Davis comes into Saturday Night's matchup averaging 19 PPG in his last three contests, and looking to keep the momentum in his favor. In their previous two encounters, no current New Orleans Hornet have posted over 15 Points against Sacramento. So look for Davis to attempt to carry the load offensively, his physical nature may prove to be a difficult match up for Mike Bibby. KjX3's PREDICTION - Sacramento has won their last two encounters by an average of 24.5 Points, including shooting nearly 50% from the The Field and 80% from The Free Throw Line. - Look for Brad Miller to also have a nice night, he's been averaging 20.5 Points Per Game to go along with his 7.5 Boards. - The Kings frontcourt superstars are likely to dominate Saturday Night, The Hornets simply won't have the offense -or defense- to match Sacramento's offensive barrage. However, the previous two meetings took place with New Orleans franchise player Baron Davis watching from the bench, Sacramento should view containment of B-Diddy as their most important defensive assignment. Perhaps Doug Christie should defend Baron, hopefully matching his physical style of play. - The Hornets have lost 10 straight games in a row, if Sacramento can jump ahead to an early lead, The Hornets are likely to fold and Sacramento can take home an easy victory yet again. - Sacramento (101) defeats Hornets (94)
Very nice preview KJX3.I like that you didnt predict a blowout against NO,as the kings play has been far from impressive the past 2 games. To me they still seem yet to have come out of their slump dating back about 10 games ago.For the Kings to lose this one both teams would have to play the opposite of what they usually do. 96-85 Kings.
Great Preview as always King James. Sacramento's playing the worst team in the NBA,and people are expecting us to have a blow out win against the Hornets.I'd love and want that to happen, but after last night's win against the Hawks, where we could have lost...i don't think this will happen.I Think we will have a better game than last night's,but were gonna have to play WAY BETTER,than what we did last night in order to do so. While Webber,Miller,Bibby,& Peja will probably have indivdual outings tonight against the Hornets, all of the Kings are gonna need to pull off a great effort.i really don't want to see lousy play against lousy teams getting New Orleans a 3rd win this season...but i think we will pull out the win tonight and not let this happen. Kings 98 Hornets 92
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting sactomofo:</div><div class="quote_post">wow. we lost to the hornets. nice.</div> it'S done.. i hought there was 36 sec left.. and they're down by 3.. Bibby or Peja can make taht shot.. PLZ NOT WEBBER FOR 3.. JUST PLZ!!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PejaForThree:</div><div class="quote_post">Yep we lost to the hornets</div> damn, we look good now? loll.. i hope they will learn a lesson out of this.. Hornets, Raptors.. they almost lost to the hawks.. what's next?
I didn't get to see the game, but what happened to the Kings? Did they run into a really hot Hornets team, or was there some sort of collapse? They should have been able to walk all over these guys.
Well we had been on the raod for like 4 games but you can't use that as an excues. B diddy absolutly killed us. And untill bibby hit the game tying 3 he had only like 9 pts
i THINK this was the 4th game in 5 days.Way to beat the Spurs and Knicks and then lose to the Raptors and Hornets.Thats so terrible.4 game road stretch where the best team they face is the knicks and they go 2-2.What was supposed to be a nice little 4 game vacation full of wins turned into a hard fought 2-2.Im just glad the hornets are in the west this year so the next time they can get squashed.
What can you say Baron Davis was a man on fire and was simply determined to finally get The Hornets a win. Sacramento needs to return to Arco and get their wheels turning again in the right direction. I'm really worried this Bobby Jackson injury is starting to set into the team's head though, Eddie House is going to have to make a BIG contribution to fill that void...
I dont think losing bobby jackson has much at all to do with the Kings recent struggles.Nor do I think the Kings will have a tough time winning this season because of his injury. They started struggling before his injury, and havent quite seemed to fully come out of that slump. They must be right around .500 in their last 10 games.I think their play lately looks identical to their play the last 24 games of last season.Back to the affect Jacksons injurie has on the team. Its a big loss, but all the kings do is win a bunch of games while enduring key injuries.Losing Webber was huge, they paced their way to the best record in the L at one point late in the season last year.I think it was the season before last that bibby went down the first 20 something games or so and the kings still were successful.I dont want to hear anything about how the kings might struggle because of their supposed lack of depth either. Many think they only have a 7 man rotation when they really have an 8-9 man rotation.Eddie House is no bobby jackson, but he'll take alot of the pressure off of bibby that he would have otherwise assumed had House not been acquired.

It's going to be wear and tear on this starting five if they expect to win EVERY ball game without many contributions from the bench. House is a good addition and likely to take some pressure off, but I would certainly look for some more quality reserves to aid Sacramento's cause.
We can say whatever we want, but there really isn't an excuse for losing to the Hornets. None at all. Completely unacceptable.
